Bane put holes in Batman's mask as part of his plot.
As a pretty serious Packer fan, just let me say that Lambeau is amazing, and I bear the talented Saints no ill will.
He was good, almost as good as Cruise, and in the whole movie, and was the (slightly) more central character.
Precisely!
Although … I do love that gleaming lair. The first time he goes down into it seems like an amusingly blunt metaphor for a descent into a hell (it's all red!) of his own choosing.
Wait, the first season of Breaking Bad is awkward?
Thought there was something off/familiar about these comments. Liked them anyways, because Ebert's writing is just that good. Steal from the best, they say. Bravo!
Upvoted for use of term "wergild"!
Agreed. Except for my taste Arger has about 40% too much random yelling.
Also, they all say 'Ni!'
Upvoted for referencing a severely underrated movie! Also, just made me imagine Sam Jackson as Superman, which would be awesome.
Was he MAD?
Upvoted for remembering The Fall.
Upvoted for "and I think analysis is for jerks." Not that I agree with you, per se; it's just a wonderfully poetic bit of prose.
I'm in the same boat here. The premise is just so perfect as far as rule-bound horror movies go. Thematically I saw it as a metaphor for death more generally in addition to the obvious std metaphor. Filmmaking-wise two things stood out to me: the way the director and cinematographer introduced the circular camera pans…
Yeah, orange or red are usually the critical darlings of being the warmest colors, so blue is an interesting, possibly even controversial, choice.
Probably so! But that doesn't mean it isn't also dark and brooding. In other words … two things, etc.
At first glance I read "Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Baron Mordo" as "Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Marlon Brando" and was confused and intrigued.
"Two in mine!"
I watched this whole trailer, and all I got was one lousy shot of Jonathan Banks being awesome??
