Just for the record, Animal House and other frat comedies (Revenge of the Nerds, Seniors, King @#*& Frat) do indeed portray the frats as hotbeds of barely-subsumed homo-sadistic behaviour! The idea is that the main frat house depicted in the film stands alone as an exception!

I'm really splitting hairs finely here, I know, but to me the movie falls just short of advocacy, and has more of a "wouldn't it be nice if this never happened" kind of attitude! It's the same way I think it would be awfully nice if there was no Trump, but am not advocating for that to be actively implemented! Ha ha!
