When she expressed her growing feelings for him that should have been enough to tell Philip she was no longer a reliable asset and could blow the mission like that.

The bullet under the eye was exactly where Nucky shot Jimmy. Only no one was around to give Nucky the coup de grace like Jimmy, so maybe.
Maybe Nucky loses half his face and has to wear a mask…
Not just the scene in the car, but when he sees D'Angelo at the courthouse and tips his hat.
Which is historically accurate. Capone was, by all accounts, a good father.
Tommy was born in 1916, so he's 15 in 1931.
Yeah, but he was under contract I assume and that was back when they figured they'd have more than 8 episodes to work with.
15 at the most. He was conceived in 1915 (after the Lusitania was sunk, which Jimmy mentioned when he enlisted), so he was born in 1916.
Everything about this finale worked well but I just can't find the ending satisfying since having Tommy come back is just way too neat and improbable.
It's a cartoon. Notice how Tom & Jerry is much funnier than watching an actual cat get dismembered?
It's a cartoon.
"And the main subject of their derision this episode was what? Cab drivers complaining about Lyft and Uber? Or that Uber might possibly have created a monster it can't contain? I can't think of a lamer current topic to plot a show around."
LOL Gawker.
"The characters mostly just restated your friend’s late-night status about how taxis could save themselves if they only tried and how Uber is some Darwinian theory of the marketplace coming to bore."
Terrific episode. Well acted, directed, and staged. Unfortunately it's a long season order and you never know if this show has enough steam to sustain itself.
I'm hoping there are some on-set photos of Buscemi and Marc Pickering together in costume. It's really an incredible performance.
RIP Van Alden, you crazy, magnificent bastard. Much appreciation to Michael Shannon who, with his burgeoning movie career and commitment to stage work, had to have been the busiest man in show business these past 5 years with a regular spot on Boardwalk as well.
Oh, and was there any indication who killed Young Nucky's boss, the sheriff? I didn't quite follow what the Commodore was talking about during that meeting but I assume it had something to do with that.
As much as I'd love to see Shannon on that show with Madds and Hugh Dancy, he can't play Dolarhyde.
Where's Nitti?
