Sadly, that's now past tense (unless a new person takes over the role).

Maybe it's just me being my perpetual cynical loner self, but I've never warmed up to any of their Valentine's Day offerings, and this one was no exception. It felt almost totally flat.
I feel Ariel's had the most thankless role on the show this season - playing a character whose carefully structured life may be slowly falling apart at the seams, without really doing anything about it except to lash out at everyone.
I agree with you - that was a Hail Mary (Haley Mary??) that had about a 0.001% chance of succeeding even before the insult.
And I wish they hadn't gone the funny route - this was an important moment in Alex's life and should have been taken more seriously.
I got a lot more than a lump in my throat at Jay's goodbye - I was in the same full bawl mode that Cam was (and I'm not even a dog person, I'm a cat person).
I didn't like the tone of her voice when she was practicing in front of the mirror - it felt unusually shallow for her.
I wish they had finished it by having Alex really rip her for her earlier attitude on the phone, which she carried over to the start of the interview.
It wasn't perfect (B+), but it was a vast improvement from last week.
You're probably right and I'm probably wrong - I just felt it was an experiment that went about as well as the attempted creation of Luketonium.
If they submit this episode, they might not even have a reason to show up on Emmy night.
Last night was proof that sometimes when you throw spaghetti against the wall, all you're left with is a huge mess to clean up. And this was a HUGE mess.
Maybe the salespeople were at the "win a set of steak knives or get fired" time of the month…
Maybe Phil will give Alex his used Strider for her 21st birthday…
I just went back and checked and you're right - I didn't notice the first time that Claire actually took the keys from Haley before she got in the driver's seat. Hopefully Claire later gave the keys to Phil to drive them home.
Except Phil usually does his negotiating from the other side of the fence (i.e. in the best interests of the seller) to get the highest price possible - here he's the buyer, trying to get the lowest price possible. He may not be quite as skilled in negotiating as a buyer.
I wouldn't go nearly that far, but I would love to see them spin off Alex into her own series once she goes off to college. The chances of that happening? Slim and none and slim is on the next bus heading out of town.
There's rarely been much continuity in Alex's stories (except for her ongoing rivalry with Sanjay, whom we've never seen, BTW). I was hoping her therapy story would break the mold, since it had such life-changing potential (at the time - now not so much since we've seen she's become even more stressed about her…
The disturbing part to me is this is supposed to be Alex's big year - her high school graduation, picking a college, maybe a hunky date for senior prom, but she's gotten the short end of the stick just about every time. At the start of the season I gave her about a 99% chance of graduating high school (the 1% being…
Well it did get shut out of the Golden Globe nominations today - maybe that will be a wake-up call for them to step up their game.
