Judy, Judy, always Judy. But for 2nd place, I would say James Taylor. His version nails the emotion of the song.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IqYGt…

It was reality-altering to see Maya Angelou lose her sh-t over a pair of earrings. But- but- you know why the caged bird sings! Right? Right?
Oprah has given me far more than I have ever given her. I have paid full retail price for crappy bedsheets made out of jersey cotton. I have purchased books written by noted somnambulist Eckhart Tolle. I am grateful for every SECOND of Oprah's time. And if you turds can't recognize genius when she has been placed on a…
I agree completely. I think his performance -which to me comes across as deliberate and measured- not wooden or bloviating, is what makes Atticus so special to me. He is so gentle and kind with the children. I love every second of his performance and i'm glad he doesn't have to deal with all this meshegas.
When the pastor taps Scout on the shoulder in the courtroom (as Atticus is walking out) and says, "Miss Jean-Louise, stand up! Your father is passing." I weep like a baby, every time.
I think about this movie a lot. It's a weird potpourri of Hollywood iconism. William Holden's character is supposed to be this young, super-hot guy who is IRRESISTIBLE to the ladies. But he's clearly not as young as the script says he is so the movie fails right out of the gate. Not his fault, he is obviously…
I'm guessing she was out of breath and just sitting down to rest.
The cookies are BALD! Don't eat the morsels because the cookies will be BALD!

I thought I made up "Powerhouse"! Lolo Knopke for the block, Wink…
My sisters and I watched highly inappropriate movies on our Betamax after our parents were done with them (but before they had to go back to the video store). My little sister was probably the only 5th grader who could do a spot-on imitation of Isabella Rossellini in "Blue Velvet"? Even today if she looks at me and…
I do love this song. Totally holds up. But I thought it was more like Eurosynthpop. Hip Hop is not right. The beginning part is so soothing. This is one of those songs that washes over you when it starts. Does anyone else think of Bruce Willis when they hear this song? I think there was a very special…
Okay so I think there's a good reason why Norm MacDonald got so choked up. When Norm was fired from SNL (taken off the News, then totally gone a couple weeks later ) midseason, it was because SNL producer Don Ohlmeyer said (publicly) that Norm wasn't funny. Dave had Norm on his show and said that "Don Ohlmeyer…
I am a HUGE Letterman fan. When I was much younger I loved all his smartass "on the street " bits. He used to get celebrities to do crazy things- much like Kimmel and Fallon now. But his interviews and he himself have gotten better with time. You will not see a smarter, quicker and funnier interviewer on air. …
So l happen to be going to Tuesday's show. Not gonna lie- this puts a bit of a damper on things. I mean will I give Bob Dylan a standing ovation? I GUESS so. But I'll be yawning on the inside.
WHERE IS CHAUNCEY, YOU SON-OF-A-BITCH?!?!
Okay one more Dan Conner on "Roseanne". That had to be a miserable gig and John Goodman showed up and sold it. When he beat up that guy that beat on Jackie, it was VERY exciting. Cause you know he could totally do it. He'd be super-tired and <this close=""> to a heart attack, but on the case. Also he was so good…
Jack Arnold from "The Wonder Years". He was a perfect example of that era husband/father. Going to work, coming home, doing what he was supposed to do. In a great big Fred Flintstone-y way. Dan Lauria was so great in that role. Occasionally heartbreaking. And so good with the wife and the kids when they had more…
It's been nearly 12 hours. I am disappointed at the quality of the Burghoff jokes in this thread. You have to do better. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to enjoy a refreshing Grape Nehi with Colonel Potter.
I don't want this story to be true either. But no aspects of your argument hold water. His work schedule would have nothing to do with his ability to drug and rape someone. He only needed a few hours or a night. If anything, his work schedule probably helped to justify his need to be away from his WIFE AND…
