While likely that Evil Coop is the one who made Dougie, we don't know for sure. Coulda been some other force or forces in the Black Lodge to keep Bob out in the world, coulda been forces in the White Lodge to make sure Cooper could get out again someday.

Someone elsewhere said that yes he is, and I thought he did look a lot like that character, but I wan't sure.

The sheriff was reacting to his wife just about the same as he reacted to Wally Brando in the previous ep. Just impassively staring and listening and patiently hoping it'll all be over soon.

I don't think many people want a linear, non-confusing story.

I think so. I think it's that one or both of the lodges is somehow giving him signals about various things. be it which machine is about to get lucky or which person in the room is telling fibs.

Was just watching a thing on youtube that talked about him having wanted the Frank Booth part in Blue Velvet but losing out to Dennis Hopper. At least he got a chance to work with the master years later.

That's the guy. Thanks.

Yeah, I saw there was like 10-12 minutes left and went "hm… are we going to stay here at the BBB for the rest of the episode?" and then cue disturbing scene and then moving on… heh. Nice fake out indeed!

Still, it makes many of us think fondly of the X-Files early days. and the X-Files was probably the first really decent show (maybe along with Picket Fences) to be inspired heavily by Twin Peaks in the early 90s, so… lovin' it.

When I saw his name on the cast list for the show a month or so ago I was head-scratchin'. I'm still not sure what Lynch was thinking (but hey, that's a GOOD thing, I like being surprised), but it seems like the role he's in isn't too badly mismatched for him, at least.

I dunno, man. Casino dude gets beaten up, car explodes, Cooper has hiliarious coffee moments at work and pisses off that dude from all those shows/movies, what's his name… and we finally see the DINER in Twin Peaks?

Yeah. Something's gotta fill in the other 6 days and 23 hours, after all.

An epic Memorial Day to Labor Day span was to be had by all that year of 2017.

I read in a review (can't remember which one) that it was a statue of a sheriff. I think we're supposed to take it as yet another reminder for Cooper of his past (real) life… along with the coffee, the mention of "agents" and the case files.

I thought office coffee guy looked like the college director dude… but it was hard to be sure. Thanks. Man, get that guy on American Gods and Halt and Catch Fire as well and he can be on all the good shows this year. ;)

I think it's safe to say that Evil Cooper is still around.

I'm pretty sure the IRA has set off bombs in pubs. Plenty of civilian casualties.

Loved the Mad Sweeney + Laura stuff.

IIRC, ye olde Parody loophole aka "Fair Use" only applies if you're not monetized/commercialized/aka not making money off it.

That shit'll rub off on you if you stay around it too long.
