See, I don't see him as a Trump analogue, because he's not a hypocrite. He's the real deal, both believing and practicing what he preaches. A better political analogue would be a hypothetical President Ted Cruz.
Which Spencer flat out calls him on, to his face
I loved that fucking neon avenging angel that they just happened to have around for when the Pope needs to personally intimidate someone.
I felt like it hit its peak around there. The only episode I wasn't big on was the finale, 7-9 were beautiful IMO.
Wow, what a terrible life.
Can we get crabby old Nabin back on the rap reviews please instead of whatever interchangeable freelance 20-year old we have here?
My god, that was truly terrible. However, I will admit I chuckled at Birdman rubbing his hands.
Because unless you're an Olympic shooter, good luck hitting a target the size of a foot from that distance. Hell, even if you were competition-level, try it under those circumstances. Shooting a gun accurately is hard.
The GOAT
Isnt this the ad copy for the editor and staff positions?
I only see this word "Seeso" at AVClub. What does it mean?!
Enjoyed the book but had a hard time swallowing the idea that the entire family would not be suffering from the most colossal PTSD of all time in the wake of this.
Hasn't been around for likeā¦ 7 years
Don't expect a masterpiece or anything, but you can tell it was a small group of friends busting their asses to make something with zero dollars, and I always appreciate that.
There are some absolutely stunning visuals in this show. Plot and everything is divisive - you're with it or you aren't - but there is no arguing with some of these compositions.
He's really only Trump-like in these first few episodes.
I couldn't believe that a show about the Pope would somehow effectively use Flume and that Pnau song, but it goddamn did. Same with that Lera Lynn track. And I will also say this was by far the best use of "I'm sexy and I know it" to date.
I'm very aware that I may be in a post-show afterglow, but I feel the same way. Even though I wasn't huge on the finale, the final few episodes were fucking beautiful and amazing. I even cried at one point.
It doesn't have a major plot throughline in the sense that you'd expect. This is really just about these characters. But it definitely deepens up later on.
