I also think the Family Guy chicken fights are better than most Hollywood action movies nowadays. I'd honestly watch two full hours of that.

I'm not going to argue on the points of writing and acting right now (short version, I think he's going for deliberate awkwardness and stiltedness to convey social awkwardness and confining social roles, to say nothing of evoking old fashioned 30's crap, but whatever). On the point of direction, however— I

Hm.

All so many reasons why I really dig the PT/TCW era more than the OT nowadays.

The duel's coverage and choreography kinda sucked. As if they were toning things down simply to fit in with the lackluster ANH duel. There's a lot of good choices throughout the episodes, though. Some eh ones, but enough good ones to make me think that the show is turning a corner. I can't wait 'till Ashoka hooks up

"Up" would've been a great short film. From the opening to the house taking off with balloons, it's great and unique. When they get to the jungle, it's boring cheap adventure knock-off crap.

I prefer the director's cut, myself. Love the movie, always love seeing more of it.

SNP— that's still not a joke that's actually about spinning, which is such an obvious thing with records (even Velocirapstar recognizes that). This is just a naked Han reference, and nothing else.

Really? You couldn't think of a single way to do a "I'll try spinning" joke with turntables?

Not in here. ::glares angrily while waiting for the elevator to reach the roof::

Meanwhile, Rubicon isn't even on Amazon Prime anymore.

I wonder if we'll get any of Pazzi's personal family history as "A Pazzi of the Pazzis". They seemed to change the person being hung/disembowled in the Dante speech last episode.

Isn't there also the rumor that he's slated to play Static Shock?

Ha, I read that in one day and wound up writing an in-class essay about it for summer reading in school, morning of 9/11. For some reason I'm really proud of that.

Yeah. I mean, yeah, you do get an extra high definition with 65mm even if you crop it. But for me, the draw is to have the extra wide aspect ratio with an indigineous definition to it— I love anamorphic 35, but what you have there is squeezing the 35 mm image to become 70. It's better than Super35, which is cropping

But will he actually use the 70mm format, and not just crop it to fit the same as 35mm? That kind of killed the point of it in The Master for me.

Will Neon Genesis Evangelion be a part of 1995 week? Because if not, what is the point of 1995 week? Seriously, what is the point, even?

Oh, I am. If this were an anime, I would've loved to see something like six episodes devoted to this. With lots of pausing for internal monologues.

Weird, whacked out ending. Starts as Gladiator, turns into Eyes Wide Shut, then morphs into Attack of the Clones, and finally blossoms into How to Train Your Dragon.

Hey, I spent ten minutes trying to remember/look up any of the Canterbury Tales that might've had to do with Lucifer. I mean, I assumed it was Milton, but for all I knew, maybe there was something in Chaucer that stuck in your mind. Some jolly, saucy version of Old Nick in somebody's story, jovially encouraging a
