Bow is also an important professional, I could see that she would want to avoid any confusion caused by a name change, and her pro-original name stance ties into her general pride at being a working mom.

I have less of a problem with Dre than I do with the sitcomy need to have everyone meet in the middle at the end. Sometimes Bow is just right… I feel like she at least ended up being pretty validated by the end of it, but even so.

It was less that, and more that he didn't know she would not have changed her name had it not been the same.

Underworld uses the navy blue filters. Resident Evil uses like.. red, I think?

I've always wondered why secure installations even have human sized vents. Or they don't keep like, a dog up there.

Terry doesn't seem like he is Vent Capable. Plus he may have been needed to run the 99 while they were away.

Man, they were sitting on that hidden skill for a long time. Either that or Rosa was preparing for years for this. Either way, bra fucking vo.

Goddamn, if this were the same universe I'd love to see a lab with Ravi, Cosima, and that other dorky guy (Steve?).

I look forward to Ken Marino accidentally burning the flag of the Zombie Nation.

Hey, there was a good health reason for not getting one with nuts.

If you would have told me I would be more excited by a CW Zombie show vs The Walking Dead a few years ago, I would have never believed you, but here we are.

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned, but I think its the most subtle point that proves Ravi is the Best. When you hang up on Ravi offering to get you bagels, rather than be miffed, he will buy you *one of every type of bagel*

I watched the first episode, and it just seemed like any other detective story… I'm still kind of surprised it has such a cult following.

Brimstone? It seems everything is Devil themed now, so why not?

That's true, we never really get to see Ted's hipster fussiness helping him in his career like JD's sensitivity does. Scrubs also had a much more fertile plot environment… they could react to hospital stuff while Mother is all about the characters.

I liked them both fine while watching the show… it's one of those dislikes that grew once I had a bit more distance from it. I think the biggest problem is that I expected them to grow as characters, but sitcoms are very reluctant to do that, for fear of ruining their formula.

All shows like this have a Backstory Cliff… learning about these characters and their pasts makes for compelling stories, but after a while, you use all that up and you can't just cut back to when Barney was a troubled kid for pathos. And that's when they start going of the rails a bit.

I think I can understand life without shagging someone that thinks they're a pixie dragon.

I think he suffered from the same problems as JD in Scrubs. The positivity about finding love, the unwillingness to accept compromise, and loyalty to his friends all starts out nice, but after 9 seasons becomes pickiness, fussiness, and codependency.

There were also Potential Mothers, and they were the weirdest beasts of all… they would willingly abandon other plans and relationships for Ted, and then he'd get bored with them and dump them over mundane bullshit.
