Yeah, neither one seems to understand government… its just that one thinks he is God's chosen man, and the other thinks he is God.

Trump seems like the sort to quit the presidency the moment he runs into a problem, while Cruz seems like the sort that would try to destroy the government.
The also rans all get mixed up after a while :)
People worried about Hillary supporters not voting for Obama back in 2008. I don't think that really happened…. same with the Dean supporters voting for Gore.
I'd be interested in reading about that… part of what really got me about his book was how much wishful thinking has historically gone into archaeology of that area over the years. There is definitely a strong religious influence in all archaeology related to Bible topics, since that's where a lot of money comes…
My mom has never voted Democrat in her whole life, and she'd vote Hillary over Trump. So, there's that.
Oh sure. That's why I said theoretically with air quotes. :)
I'm sad no one asked her why her printer ink costs 50 trillion dollars an ounce. Or did they? I've not been following this circus.
Donald Trump also fires people (theoretically) that suck, while Romney fires people because he's carving up their company like a Thanksgiving turkey. Theoretically, Donald Trump is a builder, while Romney is a vulture. And, considering he thinks corporations are people, a murderer.
Careful, the Secret Service is listening for that shit now.
I'd highly recommend The Bible Unearthed by Israel Finkelstein… I'm not well versed enough to say he's perfectly right in his view of ancient Israel, but he paints this story that is equal parts crazy, sad, and fascinating. Some people just 'found' the book of Deuteronomy at one point, which reminds me a lot of John…
Ugh, god help us all.
Well said. I also think that Netflix shows benefit immensely from simply being available at all hours of the day from release. I'm much more likely to try a new Netflix show that is just there as a whole season than a new Network/cable show that has to fit itself into my DVR schedule. I'm sure a lot of people tried…
From what I've heard, multi-cams are much, much cheaper. They knock them out in an evening, on a premade set, rather than having to move everyone around and shoot all day. But I'm willing to be corrected if that's incorrect.
I suppose that's true… there is certainly a sliding scale between a slice of life docu-drama down to a slice of no life, but they're all Reality TV. I'm more thinking of the Duck Dynasty/Real World/Bachelor kind of thing. They are cheap, but they almost seem like the kind of thing that succeeds because people want…
That's true… Are there any streaming only shows with laugh tracks? I can't think of any.
I wonder what will happen to Reality TV in the streaming age…. I've often wanted to just run through a whole season of Face Off, but I'm not sure something like the Khardassians will be binge-able like a proper show.
TV turned into a budgetary spreadsheet so slowly we almost didn't notice.
I think that can be a plus for some people… I know I have to pause and rewind sometimes to get a joke I missed because I was laughing too hard. I remember watching Community at my girlfriends before she had one was a constant 'shush' fest.
I think it will though, in time. HBO didn't just start off making The Wire… I think it's not just being able to pay for the talent, it's knowing the creators and writers and getting them excited to work.
