Also speaking as a hat I am incredibly offended/pissed off/embarrassed about this whole ordeal.

Fixed it for you.
I’m sorry about your stomach nerve/motility failure. The original poster said she had IBS, for which probiotics and soluble fiber supplements are a standard treatment recommended by MDs.
Ugh. This reminds me how much I enjoyed all of the parts of Date Night that weren’t “action” or “caper.” A sequel to Date Night in which I just watch two hours of Tina Fey and Steve Carell at a book club at Kristen Wiig and Mark Ruffalo’s house would be my jam.
You can also get a free book about Mormonism 😉
The reason the pedestrian might lose in the case of the fireworks exploding is because of proximate cause, not lack of an existence of duty. Even where you have a duty to exercise reasonable care, which is pretty much always, and even where you breached that duty, you can only be liable for those injuries reasonably…
They would look so much better right now if they had been part of the effort to take him down and protect the kids... rather than protecting their own interests.
Yes, you have a legal duty to everyone not to be negligent. When I drive, I owe a duty to everyone not to operate my car in a negligent manner. If I do, I am liable to everyone I have harmed as a result. No special relationship is required. If I fire my gun in my backyard, and I hit someone accidentally, I am liable…
Oh, did you read the complaint? Or are you drawing conclusions on her case based on an article on the internet? Because that’s what it sounds like to me.
To me, she’s already won the biggest reason for doing this - letting us all know that Subway harboured a paedophile to protect their brand. The bigger the stink she makes, the better, as far as I’m concerned.
They have a legal duty to everyone not to gen negligent. Getting information that someone is abusing children and doing nothing violates that legal duty, and everyone that is harmed as a result of that should be entitled to compensation.
It’s a little beyond “I married an asshole.”
If you post shit this ignorant, it’s highly unlikely you are looking for a constructive discussion, but here goes:
His performance in the Black Mirror Christmas special was amazing. Dude is a good actor - comedic and serious - he just needs better scripts
It’s more in the sense, as someone said above, is it Subway’s duty to tell her he’s a pervert?
He also played a great morally-corrupt character in the Christmas episode of S2 of Black Mirror! Pitch perfect.
Only if there were concrete situations which she actively withheld or covered up, which is seemingly what Subway did.
I think it makes sense, in a way. Subway was on notice that he was shitty and they did nothing, and truly, if they’d publicized it, the woman wouldn’t have married the horrible man and suffered the probably pretty severe damages she has suffered because of being married to him. It’ll be interesting to see how it…
Pharmaceutical advertising is bad in part because these commercials have to do so much work in so little time.
