Free maintenance for 2 years isn't what made me buy my WRX. It's my third one since 2003 and I'd have bought it anyway. If something is wrong with the car during the free maintenance time, well it's all covered by warranty anyway.

I have the Lumia 1520, which is also 6". At first yeah it felt too big, but I've fallen in love with the size and how much easy it makes it for doing certain types or tasks or reading. Using remote desktop with a 6" screen is much easier than with a phone two inches smaller.
I don't know about that Whitson, I got home from work and ABC world news was covering all the new apple products
Great if you travel. You can earn 40,000 bonus points in your first three months. If you use it when you stay at a hotel, you earn 7 bonus points per dollar (Hilton also runs 2x or 3x bonus specials at times, watch for those emails as you need to select the special to get it). You earn 5 bonus points per dollar using…
I would recommend against a 64-bit install of Office unless your developing add-ins for the 64-bit version of Office. You're not going to gain anything by installing it, unless you're someone who has to deal with Excel spreadsheets that are in excess of 2 GB and I doubt there are many that do.
I've been using WMI queries for a while to do imaging work. Copy the following and save it as a batch file to make it easy to determine the make/model/serial number.
Austin is more expensive than it used to be. In 2000 I was paying $695 for a 2 bedroom apartment and now in 2014-15 I'm paying $1245 for a 1 bedroom place. But to be fair the first place was a dump near Rundberg and now I'm living in the high end apartments at Riata in north Austin. It's so nice to not have anyone…
She won me over as soon as she said WRX...Yeah I'm totally biased, I won't hide it.
My 2015 WRX came with that one, but the STi knob shown to me was red. I see your picture is not the new model, we now have faux carbon fiber.
Wait shouldn't that STi knob be red? The WRX one is grey.
What's wrong with streaming music over Bluetooth from your phone? Also on vacation having the phone mounted and using GPS is perfect when you get to hear it over the stereo system.
I do think Virginia's speed laws are absurdly harsh, especially as a native of Texas where 80 mph is an almost universally accepted highway speed by most drivers and where a toll road just outside of Austin lets you go 85 mph. There, this probably would have been a really expensive speeding ticket; maybe even one I…
Hehe, makes me think of this:
Also available on Windows 8.1 as well. Works great if you have a tablet and want to use it to make a few drinks.
There's a shift in the way Microsoft is doing things. In years past they were criticized for languishing products and not keeping up with the faster moving competition. So I fully expect them to crank out product improvements at a pace they've not done before. When you look at their products as a service, as an eco…
So you've never seen iOS7? How about Samsung's Android tablet? Microsoft doesn't need to save it, other companies are making sure it's here to stay.
You shouldn't need to upgrade your MB unless something major happens like the socket design changes and you want the newest CPU. As for OS reinstalls, that's a hidden gem with Windows 8 that makes it easy to do. Your comment is a bit funny, because Apple pops out OS versions like candy. XP->Vista->7->8 During the same…
Rarely the OS is the problem, by far the biggest problem is people don't want to change even when it's for the better. We tried teaching people to pin apps to the taskbar to increase productivity as only a single click was required and it was always there at the bootom. But some refused to, opting to click on start,…
Only if the other person is reasonable and willing to listen. If someone already has a made up mind with no intention of changing then, all facts and logic in the world with not persuade them. Like telling someone ice is cold, see look at the temperature readout and they respond with hell that crap burns, it must be…
I had already been doing tech support for several years when we pulled the switch to 95 and it was anything but smooth and I remember people did not find it easier. They were used to simple little window groups on the screen or used to their DOS apps and using F-keys. Many people find it so easy to glaze over how it…
