I have a Dell Latitude 10, Venue 11 Pro and Surface 2, for testing purposes at work. I will say the Surface is better in terms of build quality. But for the price the Venue 11 Pro is great if you want a tablet that can do pretty much everything your desktop can. I say pretty much because if you need run multiple

Bypass the Start Screen and use Classic Shell: We teased this above, but apps like Classic Shell in Windows 8 will give you the Windows experience you're used to—that is, no scary Start Screen, and when you boot up, you go right to your desktop, with your familiar icons and everything. If Classic Shell doesn't meet

powercfg /a will report available sleep states and list any drivers that could be preventing your system from being able to sleep.

I do believe oil is still needed, but only the best will do.

I'm late to this, but I took this with my Lumia 920

Nokia Lumia has a call+SMS filter. You can block up to 1000 numbers, pin a live tile and even have it notify you that a call has been blocked.

Has anyone tried the AmazonBasics version of the Mohu Leaf?

I'm in both camps. They are both unique and offer different positives and negatives. The cats are nice in that we can go on vacation and they are ok so long as food/water/litter is provided. Our dog has to stay with my parents since we can't and wouldn't leave her alone at home and we can't take her to a Hilton with

You mean dogs that were specially selected and trained to do those duties, sure. But there are plenty of dogs out there that would be perfectly content if they never had to rescue or assist someone. Don't get me wrong dogs rock in that they can do that, but they aren't all like that nor are they all willing to do that.

At least for the most part they wait until you're dead. Many other "pets" will try to kill and eat you if they get out of their cage.

"Hey Zoidberg, get in here!"
"Screw you!"

Well with Google you'll probably be sol. They've made it a point to sour the Microsoft milk any way they can. As for the rest that sucks, but be sure to let them know. If Windows Phone users don't let their voice be heard why will companies spend money to develop if they think there's no demand. Anytime I find a

What are you missing? Seriously curious. I think the store currently has 200,000+ apps. I know there are some official apps I wish were on WP (Looking at you Nest and FitBit) but at least I can do banking, Pandora, Instagram, etc.

Among my close friends and family there 10 people with a Windows Phone. At work I've been seeing them pop up more and more. They may not be big in the US but worldwide they even out sell iPhones in some countries.

Neither does 7.8, but by this point anyone with a 7.x should be eligible for a new phone and can get 8. WP 8.1 should be coming out pretty soon too

I need a 1920x1080 version of this shot, stat! That's one cool profile. It makes me think of the cockpit of a Mech, oh how I miss MechWarrior.

How awesome would it be if it could really do that. Why can't we get transformers already!? It doesn't have to be autonomous, but a car that could change into a jet...Sign me up!
