Among my close friends and family there 10 people with a Windows Phone. At work I've been seeing them pop up more and more. They may not be big in the US but worldwide they even out sell iPhones in some countries.

Neither does 7.8, but by this point anyone with a 7.x should be eligible for a new phone and can get 8. WP 8.1 should be coming out pretty soon too
How awesome would it be if it could really do that. Why can't we get transformers already!? It doesn't have to be autonomous, but a car that could change into a jet...Sign me up!
Well going by the bible is doesn't say Nimrod means "mighty hunter", but rather "he became a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah. That is why there is a saying: "Just like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah."" I checked 5 different translations and some use the word "before" Jehovah, but it still…
Something as simple as going to the grocery store can become an insurmountable task when you're elderly. If you can't drive, then you just take the bus. And if the bus is taken away, well, then, you're basically a prisoner.
Well it's technically two clicks, just not a double click. If you drag the folder in question to the taskbar it'll get pinned in File Explorer. Right click on File Explorer and single click your pinned folder. I know, not exactly what you meant.
I know what they were thinking. The average user doesn't know where to look. I end up having to put shortcuts to the same apps on the taskbar, desktop and start menu/screen because people don't "see" them. Some expect to see it on the desktop and even if it's already on the taskbar, we'll get a call saying "where's my…
Yes, but I wasn't talking about the preview pane, merely mentioning that the details pane is under the preview pane.
FWIW you can collapse the trees and when you close explorer it'll remember that last view. If you hate Libraries you can choose not to see them. Go to Folder Options and uncheck the box that says "Show Libraries"
You still have the single click option.
Windows 8 has a details pane. Click on the View tab and right under Preview Pane is Details Pane. Show's plenty of info including a small preview of the picture. I'd post a screenshot but kinja isn't having any of it.
Even if Google/Microsoft/RIM somehow managed to agree on standards of communicating with the car I doubt Apple would get onboard, they still refuse to use standards like micro USB.
My idea is that they use hardware that would work with iOS/Android/Windows kernels and then you the person buying the car chooses which OS you want. They flash the system with it and you're done. The advantage is that if you chose to switch or resell the car it could just be flashed to a different OS.
Yup, they have long wanted CE, IE6 and XP to die already. I could see a derivative of Windows Phone 8.1 being in a car. Cortana in a Warthog for instance. Jokes aside I really wish the OS a car used could be chosen like any other accessory. That way you weren't stuck with a media center that didn't work with your…
The shirt moving was from the wind, but yeah that was hilarious and disturbing.
Try opening the Windows 8 app of SkyDrive and sign-in. If you already have, try going to PC Settings then SkyDrive. You could toggle the switch to save to SkyDrive by default to see if that kick starts it into working again. You can turn it back off if you don't want files to default to that location.
Where you store your data is your business as it's yours, but in case you're interested I found this http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive…
Oh, well I'm sure there are plenty of parents that appreciate your work
