I keep what I use or check the most often near the top so I don't have to scroll past the first part of the home screen. But the coolest part is that the Amazing weather app I have posts the weather info on my lock screen.

I have a Fitbit and love it, I even bought the Aria scale to keep daily track of my body fat and weight. If you have a goal in mind you can use My Fitness Pal http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ and tie it in with your Fitbit account to keep track of what you eat, what you burn, etc.
