Yes they suck. I was blindsided by someone who ran a red light last August. My car was repaired better than I seem to be...it's just never the same after an accident. Hope you feel better.

Hehehe, good one. I can laugh as I just had an MRI for a pinched nerve in right arm. Even though I've lost strength on that side my Lumia 900 doesn't feel like much at all. I'm thinking about the 920 if it becomes apparent that apps I need/want only work on WP8 and not the 7.8 scheduled to come out soon.
Sorry for the super late reply. I have a "Microsoft" app listed in App settings in Facebook and that has permissions to access facebook chat. I just don't remember if that was for my phone or my live account. Could be both
So should they have skimped on the battery to cut down weight? This review didn't say why it's so heavy. I'm interested to know because I have the 900 and was thinking about the 920 or just holding off until the next iteration.
After reading the article it's hard to see that lethal force would be deemed necessary in this case. Granted there are other countries that would shoot or imprison you for even accidentally crossing a border but that still doesn't make the action taken the only option available. I grew up in the valley, if they were…
This has to do with licensing costs. Most people buy a computer from an OEM, those computers already come with a copy of PowerDVD or similar. If it was your company you wouldn't want to pay for hundreds of millions of licenses if you didn't need to. http://www.mpegla.com/main/programs/M2/Pages/Agreement.aspx
So I tried it from the start screen, yes you're right about dragging them down, but you can right click on a "metro" app and close is the only menu item that pops up.
So this one concept users will struggle with the most I think. As far as I know "Metro" apps when they are not the active app go to 'sleep' like Windows phone apps do. From a resources point of view you don't need to close them. If the app is active, go to the top until the mouse pointer turns into a hand, then click…
Funny you mention the people who make programs. Those are the same group of people who complained when Intel added more than one core to a processor because it would require more work to write programs to use those cores. Did that mean multi-core or multi-thread was a bad way to go for the end user?
And that sir is awesome, just giving a heads up to those who only want to open an iso without having to write it to a disc.
Check your security settings in Facebook. I've been on Windows 8 for months and haven't had that issue. Go to privacy settings in Facebook, then "Ads, Apps and Websites" and click on edit settings for "How people bring your info to apps they use". I found that if those boxes aren't checked it breaks platform apps, it…
Yeah, I find it funny how people complain at any change in Windows but have no problems adapting to a new phone every couple of years. Nobody expects a car to look and have the exact same features with each and every release. It doesn't make any sense to run to another platform either as it will be different and that…
Maybe something was corrupt in your profile that broke during the upgrade. You could try one of the new Windows 8 features, "Refresh your PC without affecting your files". It's in PC Settings and the General page.
I agree with fsdfsdfddf, by the next version you'll be saying "Hard to replace the amazing stability and performance of 8". There are tons of security, stability and performance updates but the only changes people ever talk about is what they visually see.
There are a ton of under the hood changes that make Windows 8 better and worth moving to. If you (I mean you as in anyone in general) think you will never get a new computer or use one again in the future then stick to Windows 7 otherwise it's in your best interest to learn about the new OS. Just think of the Windows…
Just FYI, Windows 8 will create a drive letter and mount an .iso file when you double click on it. When you're done right click on the drive from 'Computer' and click "Eject" to close the iso.
They kinda are. After reading up and seeing it's legal for them to split lanes and whatnot, I give bikers space and hold nothing against them for doing so. Plus when you factor in Texas heat you know the ones that are properly suited up must be melting.
That same Camry commercial gets to me every time I hear "power was very important to us". When I first heard it, I turned to my wife and said "so why did they look at a Camry?".
Ha ha ha! That was exactly the first thing I thought of when I saw this on my RSS feed.
I've been on Windows 8 (RTM) for over a month and there's no horror show of any kind. In fact over 95% of my time is spent on the "desktop", I rarely see the "metro" interface unless I want to go to it for live tiles (which I love). At home I've had some slight issues due to drivers not yet released, however nothing…
