Funny you mention the people who make programs. Those are the same group of people who complained when Intel added more than one core to a processor because it would require more work to write programs to use those cores. Did that mean multi-core or multi-thread was a bad way to go for the end user?

And that sir is awesome, just giving a heads up to those who only want to open an iso without having to write it to a disc.

Check your security settings in Facebook. I've been on Windows 8 for months and haven't had that issue. Go to privacy settings in Facebook, then "Ads, Apps and Websites" and click on edit settings for "How people bring your info to apps they use". I found that if those boxes aren't checked it breaks platform apps, it

Yeah, I find it funny how people complain at any change in Windows but have no problems adapting to a new phone every couple of years. Nobody expects a car to look and have the exact same features with each and every release. It doesn't make any sense to run to another platform either as it will be different and that

Maybe something was corrupt in your profile that broke during the upgrade. You could try one of the new Windows 8 features, "Refresh your PC without affecting your files". It's in PC Settings and the General page.

I agree with fsdfsdfddf, by the next version you'll be saying "Hard to replace the amazing stability and performance of 8". There are tons of security, stability and performance updates but the only changes people ever talk about is what they visually see.

There are a ton of under the hood changes that make Windows 8 better and worth moving to. If you (I mean you as in anyone in general) think you will never get a new computer or use one again in the future then stick to Windows 7 otherwise it's in your best interest to learn about the new OS. Just think of the Windows

Just FYI, Windows 8 will create a drive letter and mount an .iso file when you double click on it. When you're done right click on the drive from 'Computer' and click "Eject" to close the iso.

They kinda are. After reading up and seeing it's legal for them to split lanes and whatnot, I give bikers space and hold nothing against them for doing so. Plus when you factor in Texas heat you know the ones that are properly suited up must be melting.

That same Camry commercial gets to me every time I hear "power was very important to us". When I first heard it, I turned to my wife and said "so why did they look at a Camry?".

Ha ha ha! That was exactly the first thing I thought of when I saw this on my RSS feed.

I've been on Windows 8 (RTM) for over a month and there's no horror show of any kind. In fact over 95% of my time is spent on the "desktop", I rarely see the "metro" interface unless I want to go to it for live tiles (which I love). At home I've had some slight issues due to drivers not yet released, however nothing

I guess I totally blew the budget. I just got a set of BFG Sport COMP-2 tires and arriving today is a complete stage 2 kit for my WRX from Perrin performance.

20 min/mile, that's more like a walk or slow jog. But I understand the sentiment, doing something is better than nothing.

Breaking News!! - Every app you buy and download from your phone is tracked.

I guess I can chime in the Subaru love too. I bought my 04 WRX back in 2003, then seven years later bought my wife a '10 Impreza and last year I got myself a '11 WRX. Sadly after a few months of owning my WRX I was hit by someone who ran a red light. The WRX took the hit and kept me safe, in fact by sheer luck the

Thank you, it sucks because I can't my car clean car for over a day. Anyone know if that aphid crap is bad for the paint or harmless?

Ditto, I don't see enough rain in Austin but love taking advantage of AWD when it does. Either way my 2011 is quick and fun. I avg 24.6 combined city/hwy

I weep for that Subaru Impreza. I wonder what they hit. I got hit by a cadillac deville going 40 on my back right side and it didn't look that bad.

Just as well, our cats might think it's gigantic litter and add some yin to the yang in the sink.
