Even those dummies just add texture to the whole thing. As someone whose job it is to teach them not to be dumb, I’d be out of work if they weren’t dumb. And also, I’m a firm believer in the idea of having a sort of insulated time where you can get as much dumb out as possible between 18-22 before you’re expected to

Figures that Liberty would make the list.

Yes, I do know that. What I’m wondering is why it’s relevant to the conversation, since pundits often criticize private universities or college students as a collective.

This has been really irritating the past few years. Some friends of mine from college can be on this shit, where they see one video going viral of some annoying chick with a buzzcut throwing a tantrum in a coffee shop and decide that’s “the left.” Their need to see this single person (AKA “the left”) get their

I originally read “librarian” as “libertarian” and was thinking, “Yes, college libertarians are THE. WORST.” (Source: I was a college libertarian.)

“Colleges are just hotbeds of liberal indoctrination!” yell my Teahadist relatives who have never so much as walked past a university campus.

He would presumably use his time to discuss Super Squats. It would be more useful to the audience than 99.5% of graduation addresses.

You can’t truly be naive enough at this point to believe that people haven’t long since learned to see through the rhetorical “both sides are bad” smokescreen used as a pathetic attempt to change the subject from accurate criticisms of Republicans, can you?

“Saying that college kids almost everyone holds political views that are not completely philosophically coherent is like saying, “I suspect that the Republican party’s co-option of Martin Luther King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech may not be completely sincere.”

The information pages of nearly every evangelical college/university in America.

Yup, this is the true goal in all of this.

“That flame broiling is one hot piece of ash.”

You’ve no idea how much this story enrages me. I never eat Wendy’s, but I have yet to make one damn tackle in the NFL.

And then the creep at Barstool Radio said something about his Big Mac and Wendy’s hot and juicy.

Counterpoint: the adults in charge are dumb. Source: everything.

We mock, but that’s actually a non-zero part of the equation. Behind all the snide comments about how dumb and unwise the college kids are these days, is the lingering sense of envy for their opponents’ youth, beauty and ability to get erections without pharmacological assistance.

None of these concern trolls ever seem to point out that there are a ton of right-wing universities that explicitly ban Democrats or pro-choice or pro-gay speakers on campus. That’s actual prevention of free speech, not college students using their free speech to criticize speakers.

Gotta have a boogie man (straw, of course) to keep people scared enough to vote Republican.

Counterpoint: College is a great opportunity to have lots of sex with several attractive partners.
