I wish your comment began with “I’m only 82" or “I’m only 12", because otherwise your lack of understanding is incredible.

Why the heck would a service like YouTube, which is by FAR the world’s largest content creation service and content consumption service, NOT be an occupation for literally millions of people??

Can I somehow UNSTAR you and have you removed to the greys? Please, Kinja? We need a new button!

Hey, when you lose your job at McD’s due to new regulations requiring that people with low IQs be canned because they cannot safely handle food, I don’t want to hear you complaining, because you were PROFITING from your job, OK???

Yup. And Gawker/Kinja is RIFE with this type of mindset. Crowd-sourced opinion silencing.

As hostile as they are, I actually prefer YouTube comments to those on heavily moderated forums. At least you’re getting SOME honesty and criticism, and newer or unpopular but “right” opinions here and there. On forums like

Holy crap, this will ASSUREDLY cause way more harm and agitation than it will help ANYONE.

I generally think Google is pretty sensible for a corporation of their size that grew as quickly as they did, but the YouTube staff who handle the moderation, copyright flagging and “guilty till proven innocent” approach are just

Try Dark Souls. Don’t be afraid. It’s actually REALLY fulfilling, moreso than almost all other games for me. Plus with your love of RPGs and FPS/action games, it might be right up your alley!

Not true. Brain exercises help too, and would probably be even more beneficial in combination with light, reasonable physical exercise. (art, writing, creativity, and by obvious extension - videogames that involve reflexes, problem solving, reaction time, and thought would help stave off senility)

But isn’t “salesman” just another derogatory term for “WOP”??? Something to think about! (WTF is this conversation about?)

Replace “It’s full of white male people” and make it “full of black female people” and that’s a REAL damn racist and sexist statement, isn’t it?

So if someone sat you down and specifically gave YOU the same speech above, you (like anyone) would feel targeted as if they believed YOU needed to be told that - and it’s insulting. That’s what makes people angry - why does the competitive Smash scene need an anti-rape speech more than everyone already gets,

People generally get polarized and angry when they participate in something, and KNOW it’s being mischaracterized (I can assure you that the sexual assault and assault in general would get worse if people were banned from shit-talking each other, they’d blow off steam in other, worse ways in some cases).

It’s really

I’m a bit tired of the whole blanket “pre-order = bad/stupid” sentiment that’s going around the games journos en masse. I, and I’m sure many others, dislike exclusive pre-order bonuses because they make almost every customer unhappy that they’re missing out. However, that has largely ended, usually the bonus is

Or, you know, just use any backup software or enable File History in windows (and point it to an external or different internal drive than C:). BINGO, never lose anything again!

I always backup way more than I need to ON TOP of my existing backups and an image of the old drive as well. Never lost a thing in 25 years.

Same thing happens to me, I almost never got motion sick from games (the few times I have could likely have been due to something... ahem... other than the game)... but if I watch a Let’s Play of a VR game, I usually get sick as hell. I guess that’s why “normal” player movement in VR is a big no-no!

And honestly, as others have noted, it would be nice to see what their cosplaying as. If you don’t know, and they don’t know, don’t include them unless they’re particularly impressive - because then they’re just costumes, not cosplays.

Holy crap, most of these are obviously well-done with a lot of effort put in, but they’re “okay” or at least, “not perfect”.

But that Dark Souls armor... holy shit, that might be the best cosplay I’ve ever seen. It looks completely real, and is as intricate as anything could be!

Were you at the minibar again, Mike?

I don’t know what roads or areas you’re driving in, but the autopilot features of a goddamn Roomba would be better than 75% of the drivers on the road in every place I’ve ever driven. It’s not proven, and never will be to your standards most likely, but it is common sense.

Holy crap-on-a-cracker, the speculation in this post is astoundingly dumb.

It actually primarily protects the merchants, which is kinda nice since they get stuck with the bill whenever someone uses a credit card at their store and it gets disputed by the cardholder for any reason. But the security flaws of the system are entirely the banks’ (financial institutions) fault.

Of course, it

I heard that too, but don’t they (the merchants) anyway?

I thought the asshat banks always made the merchant pay for their security-hole ridden, ripe-for-fraud credit card security standard?
