Wow. This looks awful. Again with the remix of an old song. The same cliched lines. The same action beats. The same Matrix slo-mo. The same intertitles.

It’s like a bowl of lukewarm oatmeal with black and blue sprinkles on it.

And those 5 seconds are likely at the end.

The line Michael Keaton gives in this trailer definitely makes me think he is literally in the film for around 5 seconds. And Sony is so desperate to link their stuff to the MCU that they shoved it in this trailer, even though it doesn’t fit at all.

Always been of the belief that Amnesiac was their best record. The one-two opening punch of Packt Like Sardines into Pyramid Song is gorgeous. I Might Be Wrong, Pulk/Pull, Spinning Plates, You & Whose Army… it’s all top drawer. 

I can understand that but In Rainbows could maybe possibly be their best album. Very pretty and melodic and more traditionally. Hail to Thief is also a good and underrated. It’s a nice blend of more guitar based songs and they’re more experimental stuff. Some of it even rocks

I keep waiting for some bombshell revelation, because it’s weird to me that anyone can actually be as cool and good as Keanu Reeves, but nope, he’s just that kind of dude.

Regardless of what you think of the gift, the gesture itself is what’s important. Stunt performers risk life and limb for shit pay and with most, if not all, credit going to the big name actor who’s the face of the character. One of those big names saying “you’re important too” with a personalised gift is pretty cool.

Obviously if you’re a 57 year old action film star you want to be good to the people that make it look like you can fight. Anyway I’m not surprised. He sounds like a really decent guy.

I hope he presented them in the time-honoured Times Square knockoff vendor fashion by pulling up his sleeve to show all five watches strapped on his arm.

This is pretty standard for Reeves. He bought every single crew member on the Matrix a bottle of champagne, he bought the entire stunt crew for Matrix Reloaded motorcycles, he takes pay cuts to ensure his fellow actors get paid what they’re worth.

I can’t even imagine being the kind of person who wouldn’t be grateful. Treasure it for the rest of your life or auction it off to pay for a couple years of tuition for your kid, but it’s a fantastic gift.

Counterpoint: a Starbucks card is a shitty gift. An engraved luxury watch, given by a beloved celebrity, commemorating your contribution to a film is a thoughtful gift.
