Sling TV has sports out the wazoo.

Cable can't go a la carte because many of the big channels are baked in to the subscription rate. I think ESPN alone is about $4 a month. If subscribers only paid for the channels they watch, cable companies would go broke in a matter of months. I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea.
