I agree that transparency is good. My point was that, without a contract that allows me to get a new phone every two years, I have no incentive to buy a new phone in the foreseeable future. In fact, once my family's four phones are paid off, my monthly bill will drop about $100.

I feel your pain. My wife and kids upgraded too, so we're actually paying off four phones that we'll be keeping until the year 2036.

Seeing as how all the major carriers make you PAY for your phone now, and I'm only halfway to paying off my $650 6 Plus, Apple can fuck right the fuck off.
