It's ego and corporate politics, though. I guess I've worked for too many control freaks, but I totally saw that coming.
But one of the many great things about the writing on this show (and Breaking Bad before) is that fans wind up seeing both sides, often changing allegiances with one character and then the other. Sometimes I hated and loved Walter White in the span of a single episode!
