The scariest part of the warnings was the threat of losing consciousness from just a few breaths of low oxygen air and having zero physiological alarm bells that you’re about to fucking die.

Yeah, I’ve wondered the same thing in the past. As a chef, I’ve used liquid nitrogen before and we received very detailed instructions and warnings about its handling, specifically with regards to transporting it, because a spill in an enclosed area (elevator, car, walk-in refrigerator, etc) would kill everyone in…
I was replying to your assertion that wealth isn’t a zero sum game, when in so many aspects, it is. Our tax code is definitely too convoluted and could use major reform, but the rich should be taxed at a higher rate because they tend to use more public resources (such as infrastructure) than do the poor.
The government already “creates” wealth by not taxing the poor at the same rate as the rich. Unless you are suggesting we just print money and give it to the poor, it is sort of a zero sum game. One of the main ways businesses improve their profit margins is to cut labor costs or benefits.
Ehhh, why do you, a self-proclaimed non-republican, non-trump-voter subscribe to this belief that it’s the left’s “tone” that got Trump was elected? That’s a right winger’s justification for their Trump vote. (“I hate Trump too! I believe in <insert liberal ideal> too! But, but, Democrats condescended to me so fuck…
Nah, republican congressmen are bullies and cowards in the truest sense. Guys like Chaffetz, Cruz, and Ryan will puff themselves up and decry Democrats only because they know their gun-toting white base is firmly behind them. They will never go against Trump because they will never have that support. Trump controls…
In fairness to Boomer and Carton, Manish Mehta sucks.
I believe the union argued for the current ruleset where the salary increases enough that it’s not economically sensible to tag a player more than once. The tag in the previous CBA was even more team friendly, allowing unscrupulous teams to tag a player for multiple years without as large a penalty.
I always have a weird visceral reaction when I see Froot Loops written in normal text. I never ate it as a kid (or adult) and just had it in my mind as “Fruit Loops.”
He would have to sit (hold out) the whole year. The franchise tag is a team-friendly mechanic that prevents a player from just leaving at the end of his contract. In theory, it’s to extend the negotiating window and some teams use it in good faith, but historically, teams used the tag on pricey offensive/defensive…
My favorite is when these same blowhards refer to themselves as the party of Lincoln while simultaneously flying the confederate flag. The irony is too tragic to bear.
File “Jac” under terrible white people names.
Also, don’t forget the media deciding not to cover ANY aspect of Candidate B’s positions and instead focusing on EMAILZ!11 and BENGHAZI@#@$!
You took her statement that the KKK endorsed him (yes yes he never accepted, but he didn’t vehemently reject, either) to mean a surety that she’s saying he’s ACTUALLY in the KKK. That is taking her (partially tongue-in-cheek) line and building a nice strawman out of it so you can more easily take offense. She was…
Who knows, he’s already turned much of the old GOP platform on its head. Supposedly supporting infrastructure spending, anti-free trade policies, and being ambivalent (previously) about abortion and transgender bathroom use AND have his base largely support him no matter what must have the establishment and tea party…
A big issue that not many people are discussing yet is that legalization of recreational cannabis passed in California, Nevada, Massachusetts and possibly Maine, as well as the previous legalization in Colorado, Washington, Alaska, and Oregon are all at risk. These state laws only work(ed) because Obama, Holder,…
I agree with your sentiments, but the alt-right media that helped elect trump will never allow blame to fall on the tea party wing of the party they support. They will simply gin up their conspiracy theories and cast blame on whomever they please and the base will believe. Ready?
The rich have slowly eroded our public education system because it’s not only a social service they do not require, but eroding it keeps the disadvantaged even further beneath their boot. Educated masses are the mortal enemy of the rich and powerful.
Eh, long overdue sure, but most players have already solved the problem of multiple builds and gear sets by leveling another character of the same class for a different build since the gear is so dissimilar now between builds. Since paragon levels are account wide, all level 70 characters are the same as your “main.”…
I also like how she deliberately waited until we were committed to reading the article before springing the zoomed in shots of his porous orange skin. Masterful trolling.
