My only beef with the movie is that I find Jack Nicholson absolutely repellent and creepy in a bad way, not a sexy devil way.

This is more like if they kept making same Batman movie over and over again. If I trusted Hollywood to do her justice, I'd rather have a Hatshepsut movie. 

The sheer stress and misery of so many American lives is a HUGE reason for the obesity epidemic. The need for some comfort is a big factor in people’s food choices, and the systemic failures of our society seriously drive that.

Well, to be fair

Caity’s restaurant reviews were legendary. To this day, (well, to this day before the pandemic) when I enter a new restaurant, I’d often think, “Can I bring a doll here?” But she’s doing good for herself these days, she’s with the NY Times.

Whenever I get “the question”, I say: “I don’t want to bring life into this hellscape.” They laugh, but then realize I’m dead serious.

I’m sitting here surrounded by wildfires caused by climate change and, while I am (sincerely) not judging, I cannot help but be bewildered that people still wish to bring children into the world. I mean, how long do we have, really?
