From high-ticket items like cars, down to the $2 GE lightbulb I was replacing this morning, made in China. The tariffs are passed on to the consumer. You don’t need to be a business school graduate like tRump to know that. And GE is not going to reshore lightbulb production in the next four years to avoid a tariff,…
The smell of race gas is intoxicating - in a good way!
This. What’s so “cool” about imposing it on everyone else? It’s just as douchey as forcing everyone to inhale cigarette smoke.
Having just been in Vegas last weekend, I can confirm. The smell is everywhere. Worse than Chicago, and it’s weed-y here too. I just don’t get it. I’m not against weed, but I feel the same way I feel about tobacco smoke...if I’m not smoking it myself, I don’t want to smell/inhale it. If you want to smoke weed, fine,…
To be fair you can smell it from a lot further away that you would need to be to catch a buzz from it.
Do you know remotely anything about the automotive industry and global economy?
Which messaging? The messaging in Michigan? Or a week later when he talking shit about Michigan? Everything he said was to pander to the crowd in front of him at the moment, and people were too dumb to see it.
First because US automakers manufacture a ton of their vehicles in Mexico, and second because this is going to be passed onto the consumer and will make their new cars less affordable and therefore less competitive. Tariffs in this space have never had a good long-term result on the market, see also: chicken tax and…
Interestingly enough, I prefer the smell of cigarettes to weed, Vapes to both, and none as the ultimate request. just do a little tailgating before the event and walk in, no need to get high throughout an event and stink up the whole place.
Not one automaker took a stand against Trump before the election. It’s a little bit late to try and protect their investment now.
Ironic that much of Trump’s messaging was based around how much automakers loved him and how he was going to help them out, yet he is actually going to hurt them so much that they are willing to put money into a campaign against his policy.

Maybe the automakers shouldn’t have been sitting on their hands with so much at stake, profiles in cowardice adds another chapter.

Only a good guy who's distracted can stop a bad guy who’s distracted!!!
I think it’s the law in just about every state at this point. And no, no one pays attention. That said there are studies that show even hands free calling is a distraction while driving. Though typically it’s the more brain taxing the conversation the more distracting it is.
