Common sense.  In idiocracy infested Florida.  Not gonna happen.

It certainly isn’t as common as it should be. Or once was.

common sense doesn’t exist.

There are these things called “speed limits” and “common sense” that should prevent people from driving too fast regardless of what the road looks like.

It’s also 3700 lbs.

My Miata has more power then this thing. 187 hp in a 2023 model??

You never go "full retard"!

IMHO, this is more of a problem with the free market not being able to react fast enough and some of it is due to the participants not being able to grasp the concept that what worked in 2019 is insufficient for current conditions. It is like having a control system and one or more components aren’t budging in response

I also never took it that Cruise was somehow the last samurai, he was just witnessing the passing of the last samurai who was Watanabe.

It’s also based loosely on real life events of a white guy becoming a samurai. I think they meshed like 3 or 4 different stories together but it’s really well done if you watch it and fantastically acted and representful of race and culture. This movie doesn’t belong in this list and still holds up today.

Agreed. It’s a beautifully shot and acted film with a pretty compelling story I think. It is very easy to peg this as just another “white savior” Hollywood bullshit movie if you only watch the trailers lol.

I don’t know who you’re talking about, but this GenX-er (and everyone she knows) has always known that Blazing Saddles is a work of satirical genius.

Well the reason for the war are one thing, but the relationship that develop between Cruise and Watanabe’s character, and village, is the heart of the movie.  Why they were fighting was more or less a plot device.

All in the Family was a groundbreaking comedy. We could laugh at people with different views while learning things about society. The kiss from Sammy Davis Jr. is gold.

On behalf of everyone east of California, please don’t.

260 apartments is not a “community”. It’s a building. So basically, this building won’t have cars. There are complexes exactly like this all over the country. There is one right in downtown Denver,

If this were 20 years ago, probably not. But delivery services for groceries is pretty standard now. Since roads will likely still connect to all the homes, you can probably also drive your car to your back door unload and then park far away if you must have a car.

I live literally a mile from the out skirts of Hartford. Even here it would be 100% impossible to live without a car.

In other news I'm opening a parking garage 0.26 miles away... We'll also offer a shuttle service!

It’s 1.5 miles away for ASU. I’d assume that the units will probably be occupied by students who have no real need to get to downtown Phoenix, many of whom do not have a car to begin with.
