I agree. I would guess that the main problem has to be with how they handle the Noise in a movie. Or rather, how to handle it WELL. The men can hear the male dogs and horses too. So that can sound real stupid, real quick. I too, liked the books though.

I found the novel so boring that it made me angry, but I could see it working in a movie better. I didn’t realize Alex Garland was involved, so that’s a plus.

I know some people say that Stranger Things is just an 80s pastiche that works only because of nostalgia. But those people are both wrong and sad. Even they aren’t wrong, I don’t care, because I’m freaking pumped for Season 3 now.

You’re right about Saniyya Sidney and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. I’m always worried when I child actor has just a big role, but she killed it. Her acting is nuanced and mature beyond her years. Zach was better than the writing on this show deserves. Really, the cast in general was really strong.

I highly recommend stopping after the first two books. The last one is nowhere near as good.

This makes me think really well of Liam Neeson. I didn’t know anything about horses until a couple of years ago when my daughter starting riding. They are such great animals, and they all have different personalities just like dogs.  

My 9-year-old daughter wants to know if you can name your horse. Okay, I also want to know.

I have to say, the Dawnseeker guy was pretty sporting in the duel with cigar boy. Really patient, gave him back his weapon. 

Both Y Tu Mama Tambien and Children of Men are vastly superior to Gravity.
