Seems pretty reasonable to me. Dude is on camera. Imagine trying to read the news with some crazy talk in your ear.

No part of this meltdown amounts to libel, Trent100. That shit has to be written down. You’re thinking of slander.

People were in physical jeopardy in Charlottesville, including white people, some of whom were severely injured and one who died.

Seriously. Legion blew me away.

Not to be redundant, but this was a really great interview. I hope she makes the syllabus for the class public when it is done, although there are a lot of great movies, authors for me to look up just for this piece. Thanks. More like this!

“Today’s Special”: Peak Television.

“a-ha’s “Take On Me” gets played no less than three times, first on a piano, then by a brass ensemble, and finally the original. I wonder if the inclusion of the song is really more about the video, which features a man and woman trying to unite in spite of occupying different realities.”

I’m with you on Regina King and Carrie Coon. I was already sold on the latter from last season as my favorite character and the finest actor on the show, but DAMN if King isn’t just as good. Their interview scene was a master class (and your comparison to the scene from The Master is apt).

Those were some quality observations, son. Totally agree about the boots on the bed. My wife does that and it blows my mind. The ideogram on the slow cooker—that’s a hot tip I would never have picked up in a million years. (Okay, if I lived a million years I would certainly learn Chinese.)

I was looking for the reviews yesterday to no avail, but I guess they are back up, sans comments. I just starting S. 2, so NOW I’M SETTING THE TONE!

I have read several Octavia Butler novels, but not the Lilith’s Brood trilogy. She is freaking amazing. Very excited.

Er’ry day.

You should give it a try. They are both very good.

No, the Wahlberg one was awful. This is the third movie in the series that started with Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) followed by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014). They are pretty great in my opinion. Andy Serkis as Caesar is amazing.

Ah, Spoiler Alert please!

Ha, I was thinking the same thing. It’s not a bad thing though.

So you didn’t like the book. Got it. There’s nothing lazy about the world-building though. That’s an absurd comment.

That gif is the promise of the internet fulfilled.

I just made this my desktop background. I hope you don’t mind!
