Yep, but I meant the best the US ever got was the FZJ80. The non fullfloating axles of the FJ80 and pretty weak FJ62 carryover engine make it less than the best truck Toyota brought stateside.
1HD-T and 70 series excluded, of course. (Since they are better)

I’ve read that, but I could still see benefits to a smaller width/length wheelbase for racing.

Is it just me or does it look like they shortened the wheelbase for this model. Must be just a trick on my eyes.
