Nice, great read so far. Bumping and passing. That course is beautiful. I’ve never raced that far north.
Timeshare Trophy Truck?
Agreed
RWI, Riding while under the influence. Not driving.
Oddly, my mom was born in El Centro. They were there for some random reason and I don’t think she’s been back except to fill a gas tank on the way to or from AZ.
It is. There is something so purpose built, but also insane about the entire truck. When the world ends I’m stealing this. I’ll worry about filling it with race fuel after a couple hundred miles of fun. Then, Oh darn...
Agreed, I was wondering if his M5 would get stuck in the sand. That’s the truck’s owner. He buzzed out from Phoenix in the morning. I can only imagine what kind of time he made getting out there.
Yah, the only reason to return now is Cattle and Desert racing. This area is FILLED with cattle ranches now.
I’ve owned and ridden both brands, but not neccessarily those models in question. The comparison is night and day. BMW’s and many other bikes are for the enjoyment of riding, Harley’s are a throw back/image based/ retro with so many compromises that anyone who loves to ride wont put up with it. (Vintage Harley’s not…
It’s the Escalade of Bikes IMHO.
Nice job, just watched it. Way to be on your toes, those guys sit there all day so it’s tough to jump into that world. Kudos.
Some of the new owners are racers so I’m sure it will keep the off road racing slant, but you’re right, I think it will turn more into a fancy-ish resort. Oh well, it was never very remote or low end anyway.
Had the B1 as a poster on my wall as a kid. I will always be in awe of it.
Whyo whyo whyo can’t I sell my BRZ-o. :-(
They already do. I came up behind a new Jeep Rubicon 4 door a few years ago. He wasn’t moving so I walked up. He was somewhat petrified. He’s just flown from Texas to AZ and bought the Jeep at a dealer near my house. Driven straight to Colorado to meet some friends and decided to do Black Bear as his first trail.
I get that the description says that, but it’s not shale in the shady spots. It’s solid rock. A lot of newbies talk it up big. Trust me. I’ve ridden my motorcycle over it, hiked it, biked it and offroaded several trucks over it. There is room for full size tour guided dodges with people piled high on it, it’s not a…
It’s not even slightly dangerous. Unless you drive off the road and that goes for any road along a cliff. That green rollover jeep is one of those WHAT THE HELL was he thinking kind of moments.
There are hundreds if not thousands of more challenging and dangerous trails in southwestern Colorado. If anyone wants to do…
