one edit suggested: it was not a Gladiator, but a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

Tom writes articles like someone that makes sense of nuanced numbers all day, and I’m here for it.

The Sheriff quoted referred to the incident as an “illegal street takeover”. I’m suspecting that, for the one millionth time, authorities and/or media are confusing street racing with sideshows and takeovers. There’s a huge difference, as one involves 2 idiots being stupid for 15 seconds and the other usually involves

This is one of the reasons we bought the Outdoor trim when we got our Crosstrek; significantly better wheels. They’re still snowflake but Subaru dropped a spoke so the lugs and spoke line up.

7 spokes

What a clusterfuck! Can’t unsee

Why did you do this to me!?!

Any wheel where the number of spokes is not evenly divisible by the number of visible lugs.

As much as I often complain about the tactics of the rich in avoiding and at times outright evading taxes with impunity I am completely with the boat owner here.

Honestly, I was ready for this to be wayyy less boat-like than it is.

“Love makes you do crazy things” - every man who’s ever physically abused a woman.

He didn’t ‘go after her’, he made a corny joke about her that Will thought was funny enough until her saw his wife’s reaction *then* decided to be a ‘hero’. Thank god The Root and Black twitter are having none of Will’s BS but Jezebel is too afraid to call him out.

You realize they’re being funded by donors, right? They’re probably making more money circling the belt with their unloaded trucks than they would regularly be profiting with 80k in the back.

Isn’t that $40k taxable as well, or is it different because it’s a gift rather than a prize?

Yep, good job GM. Reward an idiot that drove directly into a tornado with a brand new truck.

Not to bring up stereotypes, but truckers and trucking companies, alike, tend to agree that truck driving is one of the best jobs for a convicted felon, especially violent ones that don’t want to register their permanent address.

The trucker-shortage of the last 3 years has actually led a mass-hiring of felons to fill

Just commenting here to say this is good Jalop--thanks for excellent car related content.

The megarich don’t buy things to use them, they simply own things for the same reason a poor grandma in Illinois hoards discount clothing.

Imagine buying a car like that and putting fucking bumper stickers on it.

Wouldn’t that traditionally be where they go?
