For being a transplant, your take is very accurate.

That’s weird, because it reaches that temp fairly regularly during the summer. I was riding my motorcycle on a 120F day this past summer and I thought I caught fire for a second. Like, my legs started burning and I actually thought I was on fire for a second. That tarmac must have gotten pretty hot.

I wish more Californians had this attitude. I have no idea where the A’s/Diamondbacks animosity is coming from, but I wish more Californians hated Arizona. Going to a Dodgers/Diamondbacks game is a fucking nightmare.

I heard an interview with the guy. It was great. He basically said the Diamondbacks were trying to screw the county, which doesn’t even make very much off the team. He was on his way out and didn’t care about pissing anyone off. He even proposed transferring stadium rights to the city since that’s who sees most of

Tucson didn’t want to shell out money to keep Cactus League teams. They sure as shit aren’t gonna pay for the Diamondbacks.

Tucson couldn’t even support Cactus League teams...

I could see them getting a stadium on the salt River Indian Reservation which borders Scottsdale. It already has a casino, hotels, and a stadium complex that they use for spring training. There’s plenty of land to build a stadium.

Yeah, why don’t all those kids on the res just go to law school? What a bunch of morons!

You know dumb white people said the same thing about MLK back in the day, right?

Now playing

You want badass sound from an engine? Get a muscle car. Good ol American V8 with a glass pack muffler, that’s what’s up.

A guy I worked with had an ‘08 F350 diesel with around 150k miles on it and the thing had all sorts of problems. It was in the shop at least once a month with some issue or another, mostly engine related. At one point they had to pull the body off the frame to do some work. Meanwhile I was cruising around in a ‘66

Synthetic oil isn’t “special oil” anymore. Every car I’ve owned that was made in the last five years has recommended using synthetic oil.

He also says a lot of oil came out when he first drilled the hole. There’s always going to be some oil in your intercooler, but there shouldn’t be “a lot”. Also, he has now created a boost leak. Even though he says it won’t affect performance, if water and oil are making it through the hole, then air definitely is.

I had a BMW 335d which needed the entire top end torn down and walnut blasted because of carbon build up at 35k miles. Luckily it was all covered under warranty.

You need to incorporate!

A lot of guys don’t think the big, lazy bikes Harley puts out in order to sell to doctors and lawyers are real Harleys. Since, you know, Harley made its name making race bikes.

My ‘73 Cl450 puts out 45 hp and it’s engine was designed in the ‘50s.

Pretty much all motorcycles made before the ‘80s are “unreliable” by today’s standards. Fixing them is easy, though.

Actually, the hogs they started making strayed from the core concept that originally made H-D a successful motorcycle manufacturer. H-D cut their teeth making race bikes. They were the most successful racing team for a while, and set numerous racing records. Any Harley rider who would look down on a race inspired

Depends on the hog riders. The real deal guys love seeing old bikes on the road, even non-Harleys. I get waves and questions about my ‘73 ratty Cl450 pretty frequently. The biker gang types and lawyers won’t wave or care.
