You think Gawker journos are Silicon Valley fanboys? That’s rich considering that Gawker Media is being destroyed financially by one of Silicon Valley’s finest.

Smoking is politically correct in Italy.

When I was in elementary school, they took a girl out of my class one day because she had a Marlboro logo on her shirt. She was a recent immigrant and didn't even speak English. She probably got the shirt from a second hand store. She had no idea what was going on. That was seventeen years ago. I'm surprised no one

I here you there. However, if you think about it, the US was the EU before the EU. One giant union of states with various disparate cultures sharing a common currency with both a decentralized and centralized legal system. Except if people didn’t want to be apart of it they were killed (Indian Wars, Civil War).

Yes, I’ve visited Ireland. I’m guessing you haven’t experienced too much of the US, then. While we definitely have freer speech here, we have the highest incarceration rate of any 1st world nation. 10% of our population is in jail. We also have entire sections of our population that have to worry about being killed or

It took the US twelve years to get over that fear. A lot of the 10% of non citizens were probably Filipino as well. Dan Inouye, one of Hawaii’s first two Senators, was the son of Japanese parents. Even today, there are more people of Japanese decent in Hawaii than there are Hawaiians.

I’m guessing you’ve never visited Europe. Yes, a lot of European countries don’t have completely free speech, but they also don’t have other restrictive social laws that regulate life in many US states.

They were probably Japanese. Even today, some 16% of Hawaii’s population is of Japanese ancestry. They made up 43% of the population in 1920.

Of course not. Only a redneck with a rifle would think that. But to say a US sub would be ineffective against Dallas is just plain wrong. It’s that type of thinking that leads some hick to think his right to own small arms would do fuck all against the might of the US military.

I wasn’t trying to be crass with you. I’ve met people who think Hawaii was a state when it was attacked. Lots of people don’t realize it took almost two more decades after Pearl Harbor for it to be granted statehood.

Hawaiians were granted citizenship in 1900 with the Organic Act. They weren’t given real congressional representation, though, until they became a state.

Iraqis and Afghanis have been fighting constant wars in their homelands for thousands of years. Texans eat BBQ and watch TV. They would be annihilated.

If you think making fun of conspiracy theorists who thought the US Army was “invading” Texas is political, then you’re a moron.

Except that Hawaii didn’t become apart of the United States until about seventeen years after Pearl Harbor. And the US wouldn't have been there if they hadn't invaded and overthrown their government in 1893.

It’s more like Texans don’t have anything to be proud of so they posture. The state was founded by a bunch of racists who stoked racial tensions in order to succeed from Mexico. It’s now run by religious zealots who consistently institute backwards thinking policies into their government and educational systems. Texas

Now playing

Yeah, and a sub definitely can’t send a nuclear warhead 4,000 miles from where it is swimming...

The Abarth pedal acts like a push to pass button. Lots of turbo lag, so if you’re under 2,800 RPM the engine is making like 100 hp. Spool up that little snail and you’re at 160.

Yeah. I had one of the earliest computers, and it ended up frying itself. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. The car would start up and run fine, but then if you turned it off then on it would run like shit (running both lean and then rich). I replaced all the usual suspects (coolant sensors, CPS sensor,

No they wouldn’t. They’re out of business if they don’t appeal. You might as well tie that money up for a bit.

They have literally nothing to lose now because of the Hogan suit (assuming the appeal in unsuccessful).
