One nickname Minnesota almost went with that I think would’ve been awesome is the Northern Lights(although I love the Wild’s logo).

Makes me wonder if superhero movies are comic book movies even if they’re not based on a comic book(like The Incredibles or Unbreakable).

(bloop) VH1 still exists. (bloop)

“Hitler reacts to biopics made without the subject’s approval

I think Trevor’s actually a pretty laid-back host.

“Suffocating”?

Do you include X Æ A-XII?

I love The Dune Encyclopedia’s entry on I.V. Holtzman(basically the Zefram Cochrane of the Duniverse).

I think the fact that he didn’t apologize immediately after admitting what he did would be a lot more relevant if he’d said it recently rather than 26 years ago. I think 26 years is enough time to improve, especially since he was 26 when he said that.

I don’t think she was saying that she could understand someone else’s experiences better than they could.

Have you seen Foxcatcher? It’s pretty dark.

I think there are exceptions. Dennis Miller was always a blatant showoff but I think he used to be funny; for one thing, he could make fun of his own smugness. Compare him with Bill Maher, who I think is talented but as far as I can tell doesn’t really have any self-awareness about his own smugness.

As an aficionado of sports logos and uniforms I’m glad they did it right. One thing I like about the Kraken’s unis is that they remind me of the Islanders’ infamous mid-’90s “fishsticks” jerseys, which I always loved.

We don’t talk much about sports around here, so I think this is as good a time as any for me to bring this up: as a lifelong resident of the Seattle area the fact that they’re getting an NHL team is a dream come true for me. However, even if you don’t care about that, there’s something about the timing of this that’s

I remember that in 2007 they put pretty much every clip from Stewart’s time as host on the show’s website but nothing from Kilborn’s era.

I soured on Bill Maher when it sunk in that his smugness isn’t remotely an act.

Even though I’m a longtime Jon Stewart fan and I think Trevor Noah is a worthy successor, I’d still like to be able to see the Kilborn-era shows. Colbert said in an interview that they’re all gone, although I think( and hope) he might’ve been joking.

One thing I think is interesting about the original is the discussion of Star Wars, because I can’t think of many Star Wars references in early-mid ‘90s pop culture.

I’ve always been a goody two-shoes, even during high school, but even I don’t assume that if you haven’t reached full maturity by then you never will. The last interview where he was unapologetic about what he did was given when he was 26, which is exactly the number of years he’s lived since then.

Do you assume that there’s no way someone like that can improve as a person?
