Aside from the FR-S, the tC is the only Scion selling in decent numbers, so it'd make sense that Toyota would freshen it up a bit.

Tis very subjective, but I think the 350Z and the whole Nissan VQ series engines sound awful.

Technically more of an inline six than it is a V6, which is probably why it doesn't sound like frozen turds being shaken in a plastic bucket like a V6 engines do.
