i agree. even with the limitations in the writing, Alessandra Mastronardi was really good, and i hope she gets a chance to stretch out her character a lot more next season.
hang in there until "thanksgiving." then you can bow out.
definitely possibly, considering there are no seriously developed female characters this season, 'thanksgiving' notwithstanding.
after a re-watch, i 'm even more convinced that she's meant to be a figment. there's really no other reason why a show this sharp would stick to the MPDG trope.
friendship head space = awesome band name
don't want to put any spoilers, but no.
i really have to wonder if francesca was deliberately made a thinly-sketched character.
which would be fine, because there are definitely some themes that go along with that this season,
i look forward to your thoughts when we get there.
awesome band name
"no-one cares and that's ok."
he would always mention in interviews that soundgarden's music was not for 14-year-old girls.
which, in hindsight, is kinda par for the course - everyone speaks of 14-year-old girls as some kind of dreaded demographic, especially in rock music - but i was a little younger than 14 when soundgarden blew up with…
not to mention chris cornell was unashamed about citing aretha franklin and ann wilson as vocal influences.
not many fellas claim female influences.
'louder than love' was how i first got into soundgarden. and then 'badmotorfinger' just blew my mind.
never mind kim thayil had some kind of vendetta against 14-year-old girls, i still loved them.
RIW- rest in war?
…so, do you have a question or are you just venting, or what?
I try to like her because I kinda fit into her target demographic. but no. I don't find her funny at all.
was all the music morricone? I really like the music in this episode.
i have seen none of those movies, so i'd appreciate a summary, thanks.
