If your list of apps doesn’t include Darebee, it’s incomplete

It’s absolutely going to be one of those games that devs talk about in the future as being a huge influence. I tried to give Prey a chance too, but the constant underpowering got to me after a while.

PHEW! I didn’t want to spoil that stage (for whatever reason, I read a ton of articles about the mansion, and few about the time travel), but HELL YEAH. Not only is it genius, it’s a marvel of development. They somehow managed to basically make two stages run in parallel, with the caveat that players would want to

Dishonored 2 is one of my favorite games ever. Each stage is just perfectly put together and has a TON of ways to get around. Also, if you can think of a way for your powers to interact, the devs put it in. And the Clockwork Mansion is an absolute masterpiece of stage design

I’m . . . just stunned that Hard Mode doesn’t let you use items. Like, not even when you’re out of combat??? Just . . . W in T actual F

We bought a bunch of whole wheat flour recently because the white stuff was sold out, and I gotta say: it adds a REALLY nice touch to pastries. Chocolate chip cookies were really good with the whole wheat flour.

Journey is not only one of the few games to make me cry, but one of the VERY few pieces of media ever that made me full-on weep: snot dripping, tears streaming, eyes swollen, ugly crying.

I figured I was basically THE ideal market for the Remake: I played the original when it came out, I LOVE action games, and even moreso, I obsessed over Midgar back in the day.

Now playing

Favorite actor: Dennehy. Favorite drink: O’Douls

That’s darkly hilarious

Well, after I got fired yesterday, I spent some time working on my resume. I want to finish up cleaning it up today and send it to a few people to look over. Once I have it sent, I’m cleaning my place top to bottom.

Thanks for all the work you’ve done, Jason. You were one of the reasons I checked this site multiple times a day.

Thanks, yeah, it feels like shit, and it’s forcing me to ask some extremely tough questions. Thankfully my gf is still gainfully employed, so it’s not a total crisis, but still need to figure out if marketing is what I actually want to do

Well, I just got fired. Shitty Wednesday

SAME. But I’ve been looking at Fridays as an opportunity to partake a bit more, and try out new stuff, maybe patronize one of my nearby cocktail bars. For instance, we just discovered that a phenomenal tiki bar in our city (Three Dots and a Dash, on the off chance readers are in Chicago) is selling readymade mixes so

That’s the spirit

I’ve started looking forward to what Fridays represent: Gf and I make cocktails, we usually videocall family and/or friends, play some games, watch a movie, etc. DEFINITELY gets me through my week

Similar to dudebra above, I like my sardines chopped/torn up in a bowl with a shitload of parsley, capers, red onion, jalapeno, and some lemon juice and hot sauce. Best eaten with water crackers, but on top of some kind of sour bread is also really good.

I HATED that goddamn demo, where my friend LOVED it. Glad it’s working for some people, at least
