I’ve thought about that a LOT, and I don’t see how we don’t include a voluntary refusal of medical service if/when the epidemic fully peaks

Absolutely bizarre to recommend a quiche over a frittata. Frittatas are a million times easier to make since they don’t require making a pastry crust, and I’ve gotten my procedure down so that even an invalid could do it:

The pandemic has utterly underlined how fucking bored rich people and celebs get if they’re not basking in the adulation of their social inferiors. Pre-coronavirus, this post would have been filled with nothing but positive comments. Same for that unbelievably asinine “Imagine” video.

So, I love the Music Box and am trying to support it however I can. However, the list of theaters for The Whistlers says the Music Box is “coming soon”. Is renting the movie through the link you put up above actually going to go to the theater? And also: how’d you do that?

I’m guessing they’ve done the math and come to the conclusion that the payout from getting even a semi-successful card game like Gwent outweighs dev costs overall, assuming it’s fun to play

Hey Riley, you know what’s a HUGE damn bummer? That you guys are about to publish updated 12 Best Games for each console and that they’re STILL not dedicated articles. The comments at the top of each article are not even close to relevant anymore, and frankly, I do read those quite a bit. I know it’s not your fault,

I also want to stump for Blasphemous, which I completed last weekend. One of the hardest games I’ve ever played, with a frankly amazing art style, and absolutely insane (and gratifying!) bosses

Hollow Knight and Doom 2016 both went on sale last weekend, probably out of the goodness of their devs’ hearts, but regardless: WOW those are some good fucking games. In the former, we have a quiet, borderline-meditative Metroidvania par excellence, with an intricately designed charm system that forces you to think

My job requires that I work with a lot of grad school professors and administrators, and the degree of arrogance, entitlement, and blindness is honestly jaw-dropping to behold. The head of our department has worked in a wide variety of capacities in a lot of different fields, and he has said that the university people

Oh man, that’s wonderful! I unabashedly love Zingerman’s; the ethos of being able to try anything before you buy it absolutely means that employees get to have fun with customers; that attitude suffuses EVERYTHING

Now playing

The Office isn’t nearly up to the standards of Parks & Rec or 30 Rock or Community, but Friends is unwatchable garbage. If people tell me Friends is their favorite show, I know their taste is not to be trusted.

Are they old? Our CEO and President are Olds, and they honestly have no clue what to do without an office they can boss around at will. They were extremely late to Slack and are jumping into it with all the eagerness of a divorced dad who sees an opportunity to be “cool” (note: I’m 37). It’s irritating when they’re

To me, a mark of a REALLY good restaurant is whether the staff seem to enjoy having strong reactions. I went to Alinea with a buddy of mine waaaaay back in the day when we were both in the industry, and the staff were clearly having a ball bringing insanely intricate plates to everyone’s table and reveling in their

Doom 2016 is incredibly fun. If I’m playing FPSes, I need them to be cerebral and thoughtful (like Dishonored), but Doom just straps you in and turns you loose. There’s an obvious joy in its frenetic slaughter that I haven’t found anywhere else.

Am I crazy or did a couple cops die in that second trailer? The paddy wagon gets cut in half, and the cops that are on the other half go down with it as it bursts into flame and explodes.

There needs to be a Jim Spanfeller-themed sequel

I haven’t seen any other review mention the weak points, and now I’m extremely perturbed by their existence

Oh man, do you have any tips? I literally just brought this up with my gaming group, and they seem on board. I’m on PS4 fwiw, and was thinking about running a private Twitch stream with them, but would love to know if Discord is an option

I’m lucky enough to still have a job at this point, but we have some extremely important presentations coming up and MY GOD someone on a related team is being such a goddamn asshole that I just want to quit and leave her holding the bag.
