Who is saying the writing should be different? I'm not saying they need to write Kevin out or everyone should be perfect and happy.

Or they choose to save their sympathy for real people in real relationships and people that they know rather than fictional characters who behave the way the writers say they should?
I rewatched the entire season, too. And John is so briefly featured that it's best to take the relationship at face value and the way it's presented is as a typical, long-term relationship. They shared some ice cream in the park, an awkward kiss and a couple of jokes when Patrick's sister demanded they get married…
Why? I'm not perfect. I mess up, too. And when I do I apologize and make amends to the person I hurt.
If so, can we also ship Piers Morgan and Tina Brown with him?
I have to defend Patrick here. He was in the bubble where Kevin was saying everything he wanted to hear. That he was leaving John, that what he has with Patrick is different. That he wants what Patrick wants.
I think Richie's lifetime of not being coddled will keep his head on straight. The heart may want what it wants, but his head knows that Patrick's not what he needs right now.
1) He should have taken no for an answer from Patrick.
2) If he wants to break up with John, he should do that before starting something with Patrick.
3) He should understand that other people have feelings that are going to be hurt by his actions.
4) If he wanted to cheat on a boyfriend who travels a lot for his job, he…
Plus, he still has all the hangups he had beforehand, he's just gritting his teeth through them and pretending they don't exist.
Ouch, and yet when you put it that way, Patrick deserves someone like Kevin.
The funny thing is, Richie doesn't blame Agustin for what happened between him and Patrick. He clearly placed that blame on Patrick for letting Agustin go on without defending Richie. Agustin was a dick, but Patrick just taking it and not saying anything was far worse in Richie's mind.
Yeah, but the previews don't look all that good for Patrick so there's hope.
Thanks. I still think that as a supporting character Kevin's never going to get the character development the others do, so if past is anything to go by, once Patrick walks away Kevin's going to ratchet up his shitty behavior and find either a way to get Patrick back or get Patrick out of the way.
I have a question for you then. Were you as soigne about Agustin's bad behavior last season? Because overall, his bad behavior was far less destructive than Kevin's. For all of Agustin's undeniably awful behavior last season, he's the one who suffered most from it. Frank dumped his ass and Richie just walked away,…
It started strongly but seems to have lost its humor in an attempt to find its "heart." Last night's episode was borderline unwatchable.
He wasn't giddy, he was nervous and embarrassed and pretending he was totally "sex positive" and not judgmental like last-season Patrick. It's why Agustin asks him if he's still equating bottoming with "being the girl" and being ashamed of it. Having him announce that the enemas weren't for a colonoscopy and the clerk…
Patrick has joy? He's constantly analyzing and worrying and nitpicking every moment. I like Patrick despite his myriad flaws but "childlike joy" is not how I'd describe him. Childish, yes. Childlike, no.
We've already seen that Kevin doesn't handle rejection well. He can make work hellish for Patrick and no amount of reporting Kevin to HR is going to save Patrick. His ass is really on the line at work because of the affair.
I didn't see tension in Kevin and John's scenes last season. Other than at the wedding when Kevin swoops in on Patrick saying that John's drunk and he doesn't like him when he's drunk (which made Kevin seem dickish to me since he's your boyfriend, go take care of him, don't try to make out with your co-worker) they…
Kevin's a supporting character, not a lead. They need to limit the writing to the leads, meaning if Patrick, Dom or Agustin aren't there it doesn't happen.
