The dumbest part about this whole take (hers not yours) is that the soundtrack isn’t even jazz.

Too fucking good.

Read the whole comment. Welcome to kinja.

It’s a Malick film, not a war film.

Fucking Upham man...

That’s a strong argument. I view The Thin Red Line more as a Malick film that features war scenes, whereas Saving Private Ryan is a war film through and through. That said, I think Malick was still molding his style with TTRL whereas SPR is peak Spielberg.

I like Malick and The Thin Red Line but no way. Saving Private Ryan is probably the best war movie that will ever be made. It manages to show the horrors of war while still being accessible. The closing battle scene is just as good as the opening.

If LeBron blocks you no one in surprised and you suffer minimal shame. If you manage to dunk on him however, you’ll be the man...until he focuses on destroying you the next time you play him.

Somebody messed up.

When people say volume they’re talking about the number of reps so that doesn’t make any sense. You’re probably thinking of high intensity with low reps = strength and low intensity with high reps = size. When you get to the upper extremes of high volume you build endurance. “Toning” just means losing body fat, and

Bruce was strong but basically had no muscle mass (besides his lats) and really low body fat. The low body fat is what you’re going for when you say “toned”. Diet will take you 95% of the way towards a body like this, but sticking to it will be harder than any exercise you’ll ever do.

Lightroom is much better for cataloging your images and editing them quickly. Half of the functions on this list can be done in Lightroom with a friendlier interface. Photoshop is great for trickier edits (object removal, airbrushing), but if you constantly need to Photoshop your images then you’re doing something

Lightroom can do half of the things on this list. I like the UI of Lightroom better for quick edits and save Photoshop for stuff that really needs work.

Paring down the government is a band-aid on a bullet wound. You can’t balance the budget through fiscal policy alone. The problem is our labor market. Productivity and wages have decoupled, causing several major problems. One of them is wealth inequality. Only those who own capital benefit in this situation. Everyone

not playing well

My beef with The Big Short is that it paints a very simplified portrait of the financial crisis and left out some of the largest players. That aside, no way it deserved to win over Spotlight, Room, Fury Road, or The Revenant. Didn’t see Brooklyn or Bridge of Spies.

C’mon man. You make a bridge joke and choose the wrong bridge?

North > Central > South

LeBron would have to move to PF, which he hates, and their spacing would be garbage. They barely make the Finals and get swept by the Warriors.

Not really. Both of them play the same position and neither has a reliable jumper. Spacing would be a nightmare and that’s the main thing LeBron’s been concerned about while playing GM.
