@avclub-e3f5ab7f02122f95b801e13e2c586d6a:disqus I believe MRatFink invented a new meme/catch phrase just the other day! It was "I'm pretty O'Neal".

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAT WOULD PEOPLE DO IF THEY KNEW THAT I'M A JESUS FREEEAK?

Hahahaha. My buddy and I just watched the video for "Jesus Freak" by DC Talk two days ago (well, as much of it as we could stand, so like, one minute), and were fucking crying with laughter. Oh god, that band was so bad. When do we get to Five Iron Frenzy? Get this guys, it's crazy, are you holding onto your hip

Look, like I said elsewhere, dude was talented as shit. He was skilled, and became successful as hell for a reason. But if you think there was any way he became so successful if he didn't die the way he did at the time he did, you're kidding yourself. GangStarr sang about much of the same stuff with WAY better

Really, this is pretty true. There was so much goddamn good hip hop and rap that I'm still occasionally discovering stuff that somehow escaped my radar (like, what the fuck, how did I never hear much Smif 'n' Wessun until like a year or two ago?)

May I make a mark, then make a spark
over this fat track, or should I say dope beat?
Subtract, delete. All of the whick-whack, that wanna be abstract.
Cause they lack the new knack that's comin from way way back
You heard we quit? No way, bullshit!
I provide mad flavor, so you can test me. Do me a favor don't try to catch

There isn't any certain area of rap/hip hop I don't like. East Coast, West Coast, Dirty South, there's good shit in all of it. IMO, though, 2pac is still way overblown in regards to hype vs actual talent, and like you said, it doesn't have a damn thing to do with where he was from.

So… am I reading this right? Either you're black, a wigger, or a "Hippity hop" type? No "white person that genuinely enjoys the soul and passion of hip-hop and some rap, regardless of the color of the person who made it"? What the hell have I been doing then?

Awwwwww shit, I know I'm drunk now. I forgot my favorite man over there, his name is…

Do any of the people that complain about the Crimson King understand what the story was actually about (I don't mean this as a slight against Afghamistam, because he seems to be one of the few that appreciates the series on the same level…. this just seems to be such a common complaint about the book, in general)? Did

@avclub-df80f70f60b1c678f8c91696f4a54f5f:disqus Finally, someone that read the same Dark Tower series I did! I get what people might be dismayed by in the last few books, but "fucking stupid"? Come on now. I didn't find myself bored throughout any of it. Also, confused as to why it's okay to subtly reference all sorts
