There are moments I miss LA. Lived there in the early/mid 90s. Was in Canyon Country for the Northridge quake. But Kansas City is home and I have Google Fiber ;)
Thanks. It and “Doesn’t matter how many times you are knocked down. What matters is how many times you get back up” have seen me through some fairly frustrating and demoralizing times.
Granted as a man this isn’t a issue for me genderwise, but I have always found connecting with someone on a level that doesn’t involve degree/program/etc has always worked best for me. Which is good because I am very shy and won’t normally seek out folks who rank above me.
I gave up on not being an asshole. I just use my powers for good now.
