Basically everything needs to be changed down to the engine block - because only the 4AGZE blocks were tapped for a knock sensor. Almost no parts are shared between 4AGE and GZE. Also the transmission and axles are upgraded to the E-series (from the C) on the GZE. You could change it all to supercharged parts, but…

Technically, only the cylinder heads were designed by Yamaha. Also true of the 3SGTE turbo engine in 2nd gen MR2.

Just do what the other owners of “low mile” MR2s usually do - disconnect the speedometer cable. Or swap the instrument panel back and forth with a $40 used unit that we sell. For an additional $25 we can change the odometer to any number you want.
