What an incredibly disingenuous take on what I was saying and how incredibly naive to think a words meaning and context can’t change over time or isn’t inherently tied to how the person is using it in their language.

Man, I certainly appreciate that there are other perspectives out there than my own, but as someone who likes to think they’re incredibly sympathetic (empathetic when I can be), shit like this drives me absolutely nuts.

I really really enjoy it. It blends action-rpg with scaled down Shadow of the Colossus mechanics (like being able to climb onto a Cyclops and stab them in the eye) and the class variants are fun (and can used all on the same character if you want).

The only MMOs I’ve ever committed to were FFXI and FFXIV. I can say, without a doubt, the year that I consistently played XIV was one of the most engaging and fun gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

I’ve purchased it 3 times and don’t regret spending a single dollar.  It’s just fantastic.

I have a love/hate relationship with Kickstarter. I’ve backed only a handful of projects: Armello, Amplitude, Cosmic Star Heroine, and Unsung Story.

No - your assertion was I had a pathological need to comment on an article about how crappy a game it was. I never said that - I said it was mediocre (and the industry mostly agreed). So, you’re both wrong AND inconsistent.
