That would mean mass adoption over a short period of time... And that it would have to be available to the every day consumer.. It will take years and years before it would be massively adopted. Meaning it's standard on pretty much all new cars. Then you still have all the people that run around in beaters...

My main concern with these cars is the unexpected scenarios. How does it react when a driver runs a stop sign or a red light and is about to t-bone you? Can it react quickly enough to swerve into the other lane if it's safe? Is the software smart enough to always look for an "out" I'm case of scenarios like this?…

I have put nearly 60 thousand miles on my XJ in less than 4 years i am about to cross the 200,000 mile mark, i am at 197,4xx right now. Many of those off roading or towing my lawn care trailer.
