Since you asked for my thoughts on Close-Up, here's my Letterboxd review. There's so much to think about with this film that I feel like my time spent after it's over has almost been as important as the time spent watching it.

An episode about the trial of Senor Chang for all of his crimes over the years. It's a documentary shot by Abed where he forces the study group to recreate scenes that are discussed in the trial. So it's also a fake clip show because all of the scenes are things the viewers have never seen before.

Abbas Kiarostami cut the audio in and out to make it seem like it was more authentic so you wouldn't question whether the finale scene was real or just another reenactment.

I'm going to watch Close-Up for the first time right now
