Agreed. The author’s lack of knowledge is embarrassing with no mention of the Battle of Britain considered by many, including the Germans, as the most important battle of WWII. If we lost the BoB and Germany invaded we’d eventually be speaking Russian (yes, Russian not German) because the English and their allies

It is a double-whammy of inaccuracy, considering the British and Canadians together landed more soldiers than the Americans (although the Americans more than the British or Canadians individually) and the Red Army was pressuring Germany by 1943.

You still find DB9 RS232/485 serial connections frequently in the industrial/scientific world.

I don’t think USB is going anywhere for a long time, people are pretty invested in it so you’re going to see mobos that handle it for at least another decade. Nobody is going out to buy a Type-C keyboard if they don’t absolutely need to, and nobody’s replacing all of their dongles and thumb drives unless they

USB ain’t going anywhere as it’s ubiquitous, and there are many devices that doesn’t need these fancy features. Unless the next easy to produce data cable standard is basically a very strong lightning cable connector, ha.

uranium-235 or plutonium-239.

That’s called “Title Caps”... it’s standard in publishing.

Which is ridiculous because abortions are a hell of a lot cheaper than babies. Where do people think money to take care of kids comes from? A magical baby god??

This isn’t always true. There are more children awaiting adoption than adoptive parents in the US right now. Additionally, while there are a lot of people waiting for babies, that in itself is no indication that they are good people who will make good parents. I don’t trust strangers, or the state to vet them. I am

The anti-choice garbage people who make women carry unwanted babies to term can die in a fire. I’m pregnant right now and it’s FUCKING HARD, you assholes. This baby and his older brother were both planned, and it’s still so, so hard to be a mother. I looked at my husband the other day when our 2 year old was having a

well said!

I watched a documentary, I believe on HBO, that filmed women’s stories as they went through the process of trying to have an abortion, as well as a few of the people who work in clinics and one of an anti-abortion protestor. One story really floored me as one woman in her 30's traveled from Missouri across the border

I used to work as an administrator at a health care center in the 80s, just after the Hyde amendment was enacted. I still remember watching women’s faces drop in incomprehension and fear when I told them their Medicaid wouldn’t pay for abortion. Fuck these people.

Now you know why there is no money left for free education or healthcare.

I wish mike would walk away too.

The California shows it seemed that Ed’s heart wasnt in it, now we know why.

Actually, one of the best bits of 13 seasons was watching him sweat waiting to tell Mike he cracked the dome for the Messerschmidt’s canopy! You don’t expect to see someone genuinely so upset in a car show…

I think it’s hilarious that Velocity find this show “too difficult to make”, yet when Wheeler Dealers started, the budget for both the cars and for production were much more modest. Mike Brewer already had TV chops but Edd was almost afraid of the camera. Yet it worked. And it didn’t seem too “difficult” to make

I saw this coming and I’m glad Edd isn’t going along with it. The recent season had more of Mike working on cars, and a lot less detail with Edd’s work. Totally the wrong direction to take. Hopefully there’s a new YouTube channel in the making.

This has been, bar none, the best car show on broadcast TV. From the sounds of it, there is going to be such a format change that it may lose all of its original honest appeal. The other “car” shows on TV are just scripted reality show non-sense. And that’s not just compared to Wheeler Dealers.
