I kind of figured as much, but half my reason for even pointing it out is for Jalopnik to maybe reassess their integrity as “journalists” and maybe make a slightly better effort at clarity and facts...

I’m actually a little confused here. Was this test using Autopilot, or Full-Self Driving.

Sandy Munro posted a video earlier today also extolling the virtues of how Tesla’s vertical integration and minimalist interiors (putting the controls for as many things as possible into the center screen instead of having separate buttons and knobs everywhere) have helped them greatly in having the highest gross

As someone who grew up in the Mid-West, lived in California for over a decade and drove all up and down the state...

To an extent, they do help the poor in regards to their cars where concerning smog.

Yeah, I talked to a bus/fleet owner more than a decade ago at a diesel pump, and he was outlining this to me. His old bus was going to be required to be retrofitted with a DPF, and then by 2022 it would need to be replaced with something newer according to their rules.

It’s for commercial/fleet vehicles only, which are primarily going to be semi-trucks, medium duty box trucks and buses.

The ban only applies to commercial vehicles. Author could have done a better job, instead of blanket labelling all diesel-powered vehicles, could have been more specific that this applies to commercial fleets only.

What do most people get extra excited for when watching a super international sport?

Would love to have an Andretti #6 Lola B2K. That was an epic-looking car, great paint scheme, too. Plus, I was at the Michigan 500 that year (2000) where I watched that very car lose very, very narrowly to Montoya on the last lap.

They were “IndyCar” before the split in the early 1990s, through into 1995 with the awesome-looking, high performance turbo cars.

I disagree. I think the beauty peaked closer to the late ‘90s in CART. The Reynard curved nose looked great, Penske PC27b, while ultimately ending up uncompetitive and the last of the Penske-made chassis, was one of the prettiest ever. Lola’s resurgence in 1999-2000 saw some very good-looking cars as well. The Swift

Some great suggestions there. All sorts of nerdy details I could add about some of these engines.

Wild, I actually didn’t know about dropping worst race results as a thing in F1 way back when.

Saw this coming from a mile away.

I still have a soft spot for the original Top Gear USA trio. Yes, it was overly formulaic in its attempts to replicate the original Top Gear and yes, it took some time for the hosts to gel and eventually abandon the stage and audience, focusing on only doing the road trip/challenges.

Damn, this just made me feel old. lol

Most start-ups will burn alarming amounts of cash for years before becoming profitable. Ask Tesla. They went public in 2013, but didn’t start sniffing at profitability until well along the Model 3's production process in 2019.

Oil companies do control prices at the pump, but what they’re much less in control of is what the commodity itself trades for in a global marketplace.

Lol, exempt from. That’s funny. Exempt like he was when he said he had the funding to take Tesla private in a Tweet and they came down on him like a ton of bricks? Even though he legitimately did have the funding secured, and they were aware of this, but the banks and the SEC made him walk it back forcefully and tell
