If they had hit something hard enough to pop the ball joint, you’d see major paint damage on those black wheels for sure. There’s not enough tire for the tire to take the brunt of any crazy sideways force... and these suspension components should be designed to withstand quite a bit of sideways force before such

THANK YOU. I posted a reply asking the same for clarification. Pollution regulations vs. greenhouse gas regulations are two very different, unrelated bits of regulation and forms of emissions.

Could you guys do a little better at differentiating the TYPE of emissions you’re speaking of in your articles. I mean there eventually was a quote about ‘greenhouse gas emissions,’ which effectively means CO2.

With that many miles? Crack pipe.

Time will tell how well the IFS holds up to something Rubicon trail-esque...

Also kinda funny they mention the “last time” a Wrangler had a V8 in it... and it made half the power of the current V6. But the current V6 is “ho-hum” doncha know?

You’re absolutely right there...

Let’s see, a chassis that is not the best handling, well-mannered highway car and yet we’re going to say mid 400s hp is exactly what it needs to spice things up?

Well... I was a mobile mechanic for a few years when I first moved to California a decade ago... and I focused solely on VW TDIs. I’ve been all over the state, from San Diego to Eureka and a lot in between. Lots of windshield time, plenty of stories to tell. But the stories are less interesting for the car repair

Would have sold so many more if dieselgate hadn’t have happened. They were slated to sell them with the diesels, too.

Yes! I didn’t even mention the looks in my post. But it definitely is a sharp looking wagon. I like them a lot. Bummed they didn’t catch on in the least bit. Probably another case of GM not doing any sort of marketing whatsoever for it and not having many display models sent to dealers. Most people don’t even know it

Wait, you have a Regal TourX??! That’s awesome. When I sat in one at the Detroit Auto show, I was pretty impressed with it. The comfort, space and features were actually, genuinely impressive. It may have been my favorite car of the whole show. Not kidding.

I hate PT Cruisers as a rule. They’re cheap shitboxes. Front end is 2nd gen Neon with the same control arm bushings that are lucky to last 50,000 miles before the rubber decides to come unbonded from its outer sleeve and allow the control arm to bash the sub frame... and the rear suspension is even cheaper than the

Longer videos are on Youtube. Short videos of a quick dyno run are also on Facebook.

But if you want to see the overall arcing story of this monster, here’s a link to one of many videos on it (has the dyno pulls in it at least). And just click on that channel (Mazzei Formula) for more.

Pretty wild time.

Yuuup. Or more accurately, condensed down into Republican-sized sound byte: “You’re a socialist!”

Timely story. Well, I’m sure it was brought up in your mind given recent events as well, hence deciding to write about it.

I think the answer is obvious... Touareg V10 TDI.

Power wise the later version with 250ish hp was just fine. It’s the 4 speed slushbox that’s the biggest letdown. If they had at least given it a manual option, that would have been a game-changer.

Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich are our choices for President once again.
